Keywords: two series of trials to investigate the value of insecticide seed treatments were carried out in ten European countries in 1987 and 1988. Austria, Belgium, Ireland, West Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, UK, Sweden, Yugoslavia, Switzerland. The results of the trials showed that single seed treatment can control sugar beet seedling pests without a need of a subsequent granular application.
