    Description 1-4 ft. tall annual or short-lived perennial

    with small bright yellow flowers

    Flowers clustered at end of branch tips have four petals about 1/8 in. long

    Hanging blue-black fruits are 1-4 in. long

    Low-growing arrowhead-shaped leaves form a round cluster

    Leaves on stem are lance-shaped alternate bluish-green and covered with a powdery white film

    Reproduces by seed

    Spread by roads, trails, equipment, hay, forage, seed

    Native to Europe and Asia

    Bloom Period Apr - Jul

    Habitat Scrub, grassland, forest
