WORSHIP TEAM
Come Join The Christmas Choir!
You’re invited! We are looking for singers who would like to join the
Chancel Choir to sing on Christmas Eve. Rehearsals are on Sunday
mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 12:noon on December 1,15 & 22. On
December 8, rehearsal will be from 11:00 until 12:30. We ask that you
attend these scheduled rehearsals in order to be well prepared to sing
on Christmas Eve. We will also be rehearsing Christmas music on
Thursday evenings, so if you have to miss a Sunday rehearsal, you can
join us on Thursday evening at 8:00 P.M. instead. We sing at the 8:00
P.M. and 11:00 P.M. Christmas Eve services. If you can sing for one or
both of these services, come and join us! Any questions, contact
Marcella Curtiss at 484-614-6604 or 610-935-2908.
Celebrate with us and raise your voices in praise for the birth of
God’s Son - Jesus!
FAMILY LIFE TEAM
BOOK DRIVE!
We are collecting books for our annual Christmas Book Drive
for the Phoenixville Area Children’s Learning Center. You are
encouraged to bring in NEW children’s books (for children from
infant to age 5). There will be a collection box in the narthex
for the books. Please bring in books by Sunday, December 15.
Our goal is to give each child two books which would mean we
need about 100 books. The Confirmation Class and Centennial’s
youth will wrap and deliver the books to the children at the
Learning Center and will enjoy a special time sitting and reading
with the children.
SOCIAL MINISTRY TEAM
Community Missions
Christmas Project (2013)
This year for our Christmas project we (Centennial) would like to provide:
$30.00 gas gift cards to 12 mothers at Mom’s House.
We have eight families which really need assistance in a big way. We would
like to provide clothing and toys as presents to 10 children and provide gift
cards to the parents.
We would like to provide a choice between gloves, or scarves or knit winter
hats for the 10 homeless women and 14 homeless men at Jefferson Place.
We would also like to give $10.00 gift cards to each of the residents.
In our Christmas packages we also are including a neat book for all of the
children: “A Beginner’s Bible: The Very First Christmas”.
Please have your gifts at the church, labeled and wrapped, by
Sunday, December 15.
We need your support!!
Thank you.

“...open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’”
Deuteronomy 15:11
Our thanks to all who helped with
Centennial's 21st Christmas Crafts Festival.
Tables for Grandma's Attic were carried into the
nursery on Sunday after Kathy Geiger put all the toys away. Others unpacked what came in that day. Our
youngest helpers were Addy and Reese Lura! We had two
large rooms which let us display everything without crowding.
Monday we started pricing and continued all week with the help
of Elaine Terstappen, Di Moffett, Nancy Miller, Lois Moore, Betsy Miller, Marilyn Rossomando, Deanna Kalmbach, Elizabeth DiNardo and Sandy Hutchinson. Larry Shumaker loaned us shelving and Patt her Christmas tree for ornaments. Finally, several of you came at 3
p.m. on Saturday to pack up and take away the leftovers including
Paul Breitegam and Judy & Reggie Ryberg. Almost $1,200 was realized
from Grandma's Attic and we want to do it again. Thanks to all who brought
in the items we sold in the Attic; please remember us and put aside items
for next year!
Thanks to Shirley Dobson and Patt Shumaker for supplying
the door prizes. Thank you to those who brought in the
wonderful variety of baked goods for the Bake Table with
Patt Shumaker and Gigi Mueller. More volunteers
worked in the kitchen area with Jerene Gladfelter
and Ginny Graham.
All was vacuumed and put back in good
order for Sunday worship. Please forgive us
for the names that didn't get in,
Grandma's memory is failing!

Looking for Photos! If you have any pictures from church events that you would be willing to share (e.g. youth events, Sunday School, church picnic, Game Night, fellowship brunch, craft festival, confirmation, etc.), we would love to borrow them so that we can post them on our bulletin boards at church and include them on our website and in the newsletter so people will know what is going on at Centennial. You can email them to Rebecca or drop off in the church office. Thanks!
