CONGRATULATIONS TO THE
2017APPRENTICE GRADUATES!
A message from Training Coordinator Ryan HollinrakeThe training season is almost here. Please take the time to review the training sched-ule and register for upcoming courses to either renew or obtain the certifications and skills you need for next season. Invest in yourself, improve your skills and knowledge along with gaining experience on different machines will make yourself more employ-able in an ever evolving industry.
A few years ago, the economy and construction industry were coming out of the Great Recession. By 2013, our industry was on an upswing and the apprenticeship program for Local 234 has really stepped up to fill the needs of our signatory contractors every year since. This year we had a large number of apprentices complete the program and upgrade to journeyman status. Their success would not have been possible without their hard work, a growing industry and of course Journeymen taking the time to help us teach, train and develop apprentices to be successful journeymen. On behalf of the training staff and trustees, I would like to thank the journeymen for those efforts.
Congratulations to the apprentices that completed the program in 2017!Ryan Hollinrake, Training Coordinator
