• Our goal is to build a master schedule for 4,000 students that provides appropriate class size, individualized programming and stewards responsibly our financial resources.

• The most important counsel we offer regarding course selection is for the freshman year. 

• Our goal is to serve the strengths and needs of our students and connect them with the classes that address both.

• Neuqua Valley High School Department Chairs will place students in appropriate programs by January 31. 

• Requests to re‐examine placement decisions need to be communicated to high school department chairs by January 31.

Parent Transition

•Be patient. The transition to high school takes time.

– New social environment, level of involvement, rigor, etc. 

•Don’t end your involvement, but adjust it. 

•Help establish routines.

•Monitor progress in school, along with social habits.

•Be prepared to use the accelerator and the brake.
