What do I need to know?What do I need to know?• Camp will be Sept. 16-

18, 2015.• The cost is $205• Cost covers camp

registration/ activities, 7 meals, lodging, and transportation.

• Child to adult ratio will be no greater than 6:1, unless there are a shortage of chaperones.

• During classes, there will be up to 25 students per class, 4-6 chaperones, and a camp leader. The Marion teachers will be going from class to class.

• Fifth grade Science TEKS will be covered in all classes.

A Typical DayA Typical Day

• Breakfast at 8:00• Class 9:00-11:30• Lunch 11:30-12:30• Class 12:30-3:00• Recreation Time 3:00-5:00• Dinner 5:00-6:00• Evening Class 6:00-8:00• Lights out by 10:00

Who gets to chaperone?Who gets to chaperone?• Any parents or grandparents who are interested in

chaperoning need to return the chaperone form by March 27, 2015.

• Cost per chaperone will be $175. • We will need about 10-15 moms and 10-15 dads to

chaperone.• Background checks must be cleared by the first week of

school, so you should complete them online between July 1- August 7. Chaperones without cleared background checks will be replaced.

• We will have two to four chaperones per cabin.• Chaperones are chosen by a random draw. If we have more

chaperones than needed, we will ask the next two drawn to be on stand-by.

• Chaperones will be with their group of 4-6 students the entire camp. (classes, meals, activities, rec time, etc.)

• You will be with your child, but will be responsible for your entire group.

• We may also be selecting a few parents to help with our camp prep day on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015.

How can I pay?How can I pay?• We will accept exact cash, check (with Driver’s

license #), or on-line payments.

• There are three payment options:– One payment of $205– Two payments of $102.50– Four payments of $51.25

• All Payment options are available online which is our preferred method.

• There will be a processing fee added to on-line payments.

• Camp registration/ activities- $187– This includes 1 session of horseback riding

and 1 turn on the zipline!

• Transportation- $18

• Total- $205

• Additional Optional Fees – $20 spending money

Camp Total for everything= $225

ScholarshipsScholarships

• We understand that situations may arise which make it difficult for your family to pay for the camp costs.

• PTA Scholarship applications will be sent out to those that request this option.

• Scholarship applications must be approved by Mrs. Walker and then will be submitted to the PTA.
