Our Family Tree

Our Roots

Holding our family together are our family tree ROOTS. These are the fundamental root values that hold us together and create our school ethos.

Our Values

As a school we have four overarching values which all children are aiming to show throughout all of their achievements both inside and outside of school. These values are very special to our family and are well celebrated throughout the school. They are represented by the Golden birds at the top of our trees.

Thrive Enjoy Achieve Aspire

Our Family Rewards

Aspire Trophy (given once a week for outstanding contributions and demonstration of all our ROOTS in and out of school)

Achieve Medals (Daily reward)

Enjoy Stone (Daily reward)

Thrive Hearts (Daily reward)

Learning Zones

Zone 1 – I am distracting myself and others, I am not learning.Zone 2 – I have lost focus and need to be reminded to stay on task.Zone 3 – I am learning just enough and showing the right behaviours.Zone 4 – I am engaged in my learning and can talk about it with others.Zone 5 – I am trying my very best and set myself challenging learning

goals. I am a fully independent learner.

Protective Hands

In each classroom throughout our school there is a display of our children’s protective hands. These are used actively by our children whenever they feel they need to share a worry or concern with someone they trust.

Worry Boxes

We also have worry boxes in all of our classrooms, which can be used by any child at any time of the day. Children simply write down what is worrying them for their teacher to respond to as soon as possible.

Uniform

Our uniform allows each child to show to everyone they are a part of our family and gives children a sense of pride and belonging.

Our Curriculum

giving our children the opportunity to engage and progress throughout each and every topic.

These projects will be used within the learning and we greatly appreciate the support for these given by parents and families in the past.

These will also include the new KIRFs as part of our new assessment without levels.
