Why? What is the goal of this change?

The Church needs to take a much bigger role in making sure that our young people are discipled and nurtured in their faith – completely convinced of the truth of the gospel and equipped to go out and make more disciples.

This is not happening – about 75% of “churched” kids are leaving the church, and their faith, by the end of their freshman year in college.

The Church has to find new ways to help parents truly disciple and spiritually nurture their children.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY HAS THEM FOR:

1 HOUR DURING SUNDAY SCHOOL

1 HOUR DURING SUNDAY SCHOOL40 MINUTES DURING SERMON TIME

1 ½ HOURS FOR AWANA

GRAND TOTAL OF AT MOST 3 HOURS & 10 MINS

New Curriculum

THE FOUNDATIONAL PASSAGE IN THE BIBLE FOR BIBLICAL PARENTING

LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND WITH ALL YOUR

YOUR CHILDREN. TALK ABOUT THEM WHEN YOU SIT AT HOME AND WHEN YOU WALK ALONG THE ROAD, WHEN YOU

LIE DOWN AND WHEN YOU GET UP.
