GENERAL FACTS
White Dwarfs are the remains of dead stars, the size
that of the Earth and mass comparable to the Sun.
White Dwarfs are so dense that about a teaspoon
full of white dwarf matter would weight 5.5 tons on
our planet, Earth.
White Dwarfs are composed of hydrogen on the
outer shell. Contains heavier elements, like Carbon.
GRAVITIES’ ROLE
White Dwarfs have low volume and high mass, which
makes these stars extremely dense. The gravity
balancing the outwards force in these stars is the
“electron degeneracy pressure”.
