WHAT WE NEED BEFORE WE GET TO MARS

Arrive, Survive, and Thrive

MISSION PLAN

Arrive First we have to survive on Mars when we get there. A nice landing and a map

of the place.

SurviveWhen we get to Mars we have to survive, which means find shelter, a

stable food source, and find oxygen just to survive.

Thrive Get ways to move around

and a good stable government. Make living quarters for more people

to come. Prepare experiments to conduct on

Mars.

MAKING THE ROCKETS

Making the rockets took two days. The first day we built the 1st stage. The first stage was the main part of the rocket, the main rocket had the recovery device and the engine. The second part of the rocket would fall off.

ROBOTICS

When we were programing the robots we used this software called “Terra Term.” Only about 2 people in the class knew how to use the program. For beginners the class learned real quickly. We had to learn how to command the robots to move around things. Today we were trying to program our robots to move around a maze. We had to walk back and forth many times to get the programming good.
