and coordinated.

WHAT IS WORK SPECIALIZATION?

The degree to which activities in the organization are

subdivided into separate jobs.

Efficient use of employees skills

Efficient use of organizational resources

Individuals specialize in doing part of an activity rather

than the entire activity.

Work specialization is very useful in production line and also very efficient and increase the productivity.

WHY?????

The entire job is broken down into steps. Each step

completed by separate individual. EASY TO

FOCUS!

Individual workers specialize in doing part of an activity.

CAREERS!

Involves repetitive performance of a job.

ROUTINE!

The workers might need less of the time because

they do not have to apply basic training. SKILLS!

Very clear on what to do. UNDERSTAND!

HOWEVER, because work specialization require employees do repetitive task,

there came the disadvantages of

using it.

BOREDOM

FATIGUE

STRESS

POOR QUALIT

Y

INCREASED ABSENTEEISM

HIGH TURNOVER

LOW PRODUCTIVITY

IN CONCLUSION,

Work specialization is very useful in production line and also very efficient and productivity, however, it lack of humanity, because human is not a

machine and they have feeling, behavior, people sometime need some

thing new and changing.
