Focused on the wind, photovoltaic, thermosolar, hydroelectric,biomass and biofuels fields since 1990. Ingeteam S.A. isthe company dedicated to the supply and development ofequipment for the Renewable Energies sector.
In the Wind Energy area, Ingeteam offers wind turbinemanufacturers complete or partial electrical and electronicequipment solutions, adapted to suit their specific controland generating requirements.

Power converters for wind applications
These PWM controlled converters, are principally basedon IGBT power semiconductors, with a very low inductanceDC bus.
Equipped with latest generation DSP microprocessors,32 bit parallel multiprocessing, they include Advanced VectorControl algorithms on the PWM, Capable of applying rotorcontrol (DFM or xDFM) or stator control (Full Converter)to the generator.
Each design meets the specific requirements of each customerwind turbine.
During 2008, Ingeteam passed the mark of 12,000 converterssupplied, which is equivalent to equipping a total of13,011 MW of accumulated power.

Generators
Belonging to Ingeteam, Indar Electric is the company dedicatedto the design and manufacture of electric generators. In windapplications, the joint work between Ingeteam and Indar Electricmakes possible the development of products and servicesadjusted to each customer needs.
Indar Electric has a dedicated wind generator production lineoffering full technical, productive and after-sales capacity.The mechanical and electrical software applied to the designare based on in-house technology. In addition, advancedsimulation tools, such as mechanical calculations using finiteelements and magnetic flow measurements are also used.
The wind generator range has been designed to cover all theenergy needs of the market. Indar Electric supplies generatorswith output powers ranging from 850 kW to 6 MW and voltagesfrom 690 V to 15 kV: Asynchronous double fed or synchronouswith permanent magnets and the xDFM.
The generators are manufactured to internationally approvedquality assurance standards, using the highest quality materials,such as insulation and impregnation systems, resulting inextremely reliable, low-maintenance, high-performancemachines.
Over 11,000 wind generators supplied to date, clearly indicatesthe trust that customers have placed in Ingeteam.

Pitch Control System
A system characterised by its high reliability and precision,full adaptability to the customers' requirements, advancedtechnology, compact design and ease of maintenance.
The pitch control system regulates the wind turbine blade pitchangle with total control and precision, to maximize the windenergy harnassed.
With safety as a key factor, the Ingeteam pitch control systemhas been designed to operate at high wind speeds and atturbulent sites.
The Ingeteam pitch control system is designed to enable thewind turbine to operate in compliance with the grid connectionregulations during voltage drops and to perform controlledshutdowns in emergency situations.
The Ingeteam Pitch Control System makes it possibleto monitor the voltages, current and temperature of eachone of the batteries or super capacitors used in the powerstorage system. This ensures that the status of eachbattery or super capacitor is known at all times,thereby always guaranteeing correctsystem operation.
