Aerobic exercise - brisk walking, swimming or dancing about 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week

resistance training - weightlifting or yoga twice a week

Body mechanism during exercise With exercise, insulin level in ppl with type 2 DM declines

because insulin acts to store and not release glucose n fat.

You may wonder how insulin can open the cell to the entry of glucose when insulin levels are falling. In fact, two things are at work here. 1. Glucose is getting into muscle cells without the need for

insulin 2. The rapid circulation that comes with exercise is delivering

the smaller amount of insulin more frequently to the muscle → muscle more sensitive to insulin
