Testing HVAC Implementation vs. In-room application of Cluster Ions to Inactivate Pathogens

● Three years ago in June we installed Inspired Tec’s PCO (Photo Catalytic Oxidation) technology

in 14 rooms of Patricia Wray's Critical Care Unit at a cost of approximately $20,000, with equip-

ment and installation costs.

● We are now due to replace all current cells expiring in less than 60 days with newly enhanced

cells producing 10 times as many cluster ions at a cost of $4,000.

● There is “0” maintenance cost on both systems except for replacing the cells every three years

at $273.00 per cell, or $91.00 per room, per year on both the HVAC system and the CLEAR in room

units. The initial cost for the CLEAR unit is $1196.00 per room which is a onetime expense.
