A very accomplished graphics portfolio which scores highly across the four assessment

objectives. It has been useful within this context to see how a well-structured period of

foundation studies has enabled the candidate to work confidently upon a more personal

line of enquiry as the course progressed. The candidate has provided copious evidence

of well executed and annotated design development which clearly demonstrates his

intentions. Contextual work is well represented and informs the creative journey in a

manner that is both useful and relevant. The theme of ‘Layers’ has been explored with a

pleasing degree of originality employing a good breadth of techniques. A submission

which demonstrates rigour and clarity in relation to the design process; however the

quality of the final outcome does not quite live up to the promise evident within the

supporting work and it would have been useful to have seen a greater degree of technical

sophistication in this regard.
