WOO Inc. is a women’s organization that provides informational seminars in the areas of health and economic development.

Vision:

•The future goals of WOO Inc. are to reach women across the nation.•To offer online classes and seminars.•To provide certificates in the areas of health, economic development, and eco-friendly living.

Target Audience

Women of Color between the ages of

25-65

Why is this WOO Inc.’s Target audience?

• Single Black and Hispanic women have a median wealth of $100 and $120 respectively; the median for a single white woman is $41,500

• Nearly half of all single Black and Hispanic women have zero wealth, the latter of which occurs when debts exceed assets.

• Prior to age 50, women of color have virtually no wealth.

• African-American women and American Indian/AlaskanNative women have lower five-year survival rates forcancer overall than whites.

•Hispanic women have a 50 percent higher death rate from cervical cancer than non-Hispanic women.

• Hispanics are almost twice as likely to die from diabetesas whites and have far higher rates of high bloodpressure and obesity.

•African-American women are 100 percent morelikely to develop diabetes than white women, while the rate of developing diabetes is two to four times higher among Hispanic-American, American Indian and Asian/Pacific Islander women.

•African Americans and Hispanics have significantly higher blood pressure and worse blood pressure control than whites. In addition, American Indian/ Alaska Natives were 22 percent more likely than whites to have been told they had high blood pressure.
