Homophones- A word that sounds like another word but has a different

meaning, spelling, and origin.

Sari- a garment worn by Hindu

women.

Sorry- you are apologetic

Waver- you hesitate

Waiver- a document that gives up a claim

Hostel- is an inexpensive lodging.

Hostile- means “unfriendly”

Hue- is a gradation of

color.

Hew- to chop or cut something out.

Insight-is the ability to understand

something.

Incite-is to stir up feelings.

Homograph- is a word that is spelled the same as another

word but has a different meaning and sometimes a different pronunciation.

Wound- is the past tense of wind, meaning “to wrap around.”

Wound- is an injury
