senses.
Narrative: telling a story; a sequence of events.
Expository: conveying information (facts, not opinions)
Persuasive: trying to convince your reader to agree withyour point of view on a particular topic.
(Or any combination of the four.)

Writing Tips and Tricks # 1: Beginnings and Endings
Exciting Beginning● Start with some excitement.
Ex: The car that swerved out of the way but almost hit you.The grand-slam you made as the crowd roared.
Avoid: “I woke up in the morning.” Yeah, so did I. Everyonedid. It is a dull beginning. Do not be tempted to use it.
Full-Circle Ending● Writing needs a special ending, one that wraps up the piece. One
trick is to repeat a phrase from the beginning of the piece or to refer back to something mentioned in the beginning.
