Typical French conservatory piece. Cintrasts throughout. Excellent teaching piece. Difficult and played often for all-state. Private study is a must.Mysterious and contrasting work. Medium difficulty. Not too long.
Easy Level VI if student can double tongue. Would probably be a Level V if the tempo marking was slower.
Sonata for Trumpet and Piano (Mvt. 1-3)
VERY standard repertoire. Student must have excellent endurance and a good range. Not many technical difficulties.
Another good Clarke piece. Quite technical, but not too difficult for this Level.
Tricky rhythmically, but very playable and played VERY frequently. Nuances make the difference in performing this piece correctly.One of the easist Level VI pieces. Good for a borderline V/VI player.
Movement 1 is a good challenge. Difficult rhythms, but quite playable for a solid reader.
