Daily Maintenance

Daily maintenance have four tasks RNC environment check OMM server status check RNC MO( Managed Object ) status check RNC alarm audit

Daily Maintenance—RNC environment check

Equipment Room Temperature

Recommended temperature: 15ºC to 30ºC. Humidity

Recommended humidity: 40% to 65%. Security

The burglarproof net, door and window are intact. Cleanness

The equipment room is tidy and clean without distinct dust.

Daily Maintenance—OMM server status check

OMM client can login normally. Performance data can export normally. System configuration data backup policy running

normally.

OMM client can login normally. From client PC run ‘run-client’ icon and try to login.

Performance data can export normally. Open PM GUI first.

Performance data can export normally. In PM GUI, open ‘Performance Data Query’.

Performance data can export normally. From pop up dialog, select ‘CELL-KPI index’ and type ok.

If system can generate non-blank value it means PM work normally.

If all are blank value, please contact next level for troubleshooting.

System configuration data backup policy running normally.

From CM GUI, select ‘Management’ type ‘Data Recover’.

In the ‘Data Recover’ dialog type ‘select’ button.

In the open dialog confirm the newest backup data time stamp is this morning.

Daily Maintenance—RNC MO status check

RNC MO connected normally. In CM GUI check RNC MO connection is normal

status.

Daily Maintenance—RNC MO status check

RNC configuration data modification indicator is ‘Blue color’ (nothing changed).

Daily Maintenance—RNC Alarm Audit

Audit RNC real-time alarm

Open Fault Management

Export realtime alarms

Save as .xls format

Check RNC real-time alarm from the xls file.

Daily Maintenance—RNC History Alarm Audit

Open history alarms

Type ‘quick search’ icon in History Alarm Query GUI

Select ‘Happen Time’ in the filter Time range set to 24 hours Then type ‘OK’ button.

After few seconds, 24 hours history alarms appears.

Export the history data and analysis RNC history alarms about 24 hours.

Open Notificatons

Daily Maintenance—RNC History Notifications Audit

Audit Node B 24 hours history notifications Type ‘Quick Search’ icon.

Select ‘Happen Time’ in the filter Time range set to 24 hours Then type ‘OK’ button.

After few seconds, 24 hours history notifications appears.

Audit Node B 24 hours history notifications Export the history data and analysis the history Node

B notifications.

Weekly maintenance have two tasks OMM client virus scan. System configuration data export (XLS format).

Weekly Maintenance—OMM client virus scan

Use Anti-virus software scan OMM client PC.

Weekly Maintenance—System configuration data export (XLS format)

In CM GUI, select ‘RNC Managed Element’ MO.

After this, from menu bar add ‘RNC ManagedElement’ menu.

Select ‘Configuration Data Export Tool’ item.

In the pop up dialog has 6 pages. Type ‘Select All’ for each page.

Type ‘Export Data’ button.

Select save directory and wait few minutes.

System will generate a folder in your PC.

Monthly maintenance have two tasks OMM server disk space check. NTP status check.

Monthly Maintenance—OMM server disk space check

Delete old configuration data stored in OMM ../ums-svr\backup\sysmanager folder.

Use df –k to confirm system disk space.

Monthly Maintenance—NTP status check

Check OMM server TOD time is the same with TOD source.

Check RNC TOD time is the same with OMM server.

Check OMM server TOD time is the same with TOD source. In OMM server GUI, from ‘System’ menu select ‘Show

System Time’ item.

Check OMM server TOD time is the same with TOD source. In OMM server GUI, from ‘System’ menu select ‘Show

System Time’ item.

Compare the result with TOD source. Any time shift ask next level support.

Check RNC TOD time is the same with OMM server. Double click ‘RNC Ground Resource Management’

In the right view select ‘Synchronize NE’s Clock’ icon.

If successful, RNC TOD time already adjusted. If failed, ask next level for support.
