I Introduction
The 72nd Republic day of India was celebrated on 26th January, 2021 at KES Shroff College of
Arts and Commerce. Every Year we celebrate this day with flag hosting followed by March pass
& combined cultural programme of all institutes run by KES under the command and control of
NCC unit of the college but due to COVID-19 pandemic, the celebration goes with certain
precautionary measures and in limited gathering in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Subhajeet
Mukherjee, Principals, vice-principal, faculties and staff members. The event was organized with
theme of “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” under the immense support and guidance of Management and
Principal Dr. Lily Bhushan.
II Aims and Objectives
• To promote patriotic feeling amongst various stakeholders of KES group of school and college.
• To highlight the importance of rich cultural diversity of the country.
• To honour the day, when we embraced our constitution.
• To inculcate the sense of pride and patriotism.
• To involve participation.
• To introduce the rich heritage and a sound legacy of India and Indian culture through the theme-
based programme.

Dear Madam,
As you all know how COVID-19 has impacted the lives of billions of people throughout the world,
many citizens are shifted to their village. the government has put stringent restriction on public
gatherings. Considering all these difficulties and uncertainty, I am submitting herewith the proposal
for the Combined Republic Day Function to be held on Sunday, the 26th January, 2021 at our
College ground from 7.40 a.m. onwards. Kindly forward this proposal to the Hon. Secretary,
Kandivli Education Society and Principal, SVPVV and other Principals of different sections.

E. Theme of the Programme
NCC unit of KES’ Shroff College proposes to present various programmes on the theme, But
due to consideration of Covid-19 pandemic situation this year we arrange poster exhibition on
“ATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT”.

F. Requirements
I. Requirements from Decorator for 26th January, 2020.
1. 10’ X 10’ Stage for Amar Jawan with one 6’ X 6’ table on it.
2. Blue curtain behind Amar Jawan and curtain at SVPVV.
3. 10 chairs on ground near flag.
4. 25 chairs outside the turf.
5. 3 tables with zallar and table cloth for mike system & prizes etc. (1 table for
Prizes and 1 table for bouquet and memento and 1 for mike system).
6. Arrangements in Canteen:
A. 12 table of 4 X 2 size in a single row with table cloth and zallar.

7. Amar Jawan Stage must be ready by 24th January.

A] An informal meeting of all concerned teacher in charge for the programme on the theme is
proposed on 9th January, 2021 at 11.00 a.m. in KES Shroff College Conference Room as well as

VIII Protocol Followed:
Please note: All the rules and regulations laid by government of India was followed.
A. First Part: This part of the programme was carried out before the flag
hoisting.
All the participants were asked to assemble at college campus by 7.30 am and
accordingly they reported.
• Each and every participant was given a scrumptious breakfast of a vada pav, a banana
and a fruity drink, so as to ensure that they are energetic and remain energetic
throughout the duration of the program.
• The parade commander CSUO Shubham Gupta took his position at a predetermined
time and instructed guards to be inside the parade area
• Guard Commander Cadet Jyoti Goswami the guard to the parade ground.
• Thereafter the parade commander reported NCC CTO Mrunali Sawant and
accordingly, instructed her to carry out the program as per the said practice and
determined schedule of the program
• CTO Mrunali Sawant, the VIP‟s, chief guest and other dignitaries on the ground at
7.59 am, as per the practice set in by NCC unit of the college
• The chief guest paid the homage by laying the wreath at Amar Jawan and all the
dignitaries did the same by offering flowers at the same
• Thereafter the chief guest was welcomed by the presiding officer of the function Shri.
Subhajit Mukharji and was offered him a floral welcome and a memento as a token
of affection
• At sharp 8 am the national flag was hoist, followed by national anthem, which was
sung by the team came from SVP school thereafter Dhwaj geet was sung, followed by
oath giving ceremony that everyone present on the ground will follow and respect the
national flag.
• The parade inspection was carried out by the chief guest and the guard gave honour
to tricolor with their rifles.
B. Second Part: This part includes flag hoisting.
As per the pre-recorded program in this part NCC Report was read by NCC CTO
Mrunali Sawant and importance of the theme “AtmaNirbhar Bharat " was highlighted

There was no speech. Officially the event was open at 7.30 am and at 7.58 am
Chief Guest was introduced and welcomed by Asst. Prof. Gauravi Desai. NCC
Report was by NCC CTO Mrunali Sawant.

Chief-Guest of today’s function, Dr. Subhajit Mukharjee, Fouder Mission
Green Mumbai, Office – barres and members of Kandivali Education Society,
All Principles, Teachers, Non-Teaching Staff, guest invites, parents and my
dear Cadets and Student.
It’s my Pleasure to present brief NCC Report for the Year 2020-2021.
Every Year Start With the result of NCC “B” and “C” Certificate exam. Over
all 16 cadets pass “B” certificate and 12 Cadet Pass “C” certificate Exam out
which ‘4’ Cadet Secured “A” Grade in “B” Certificate and ‘3’ Cadet Secured
“A” grade in C’ Certificate, so now they are eligible for direct entry into Arm
Forces through Service Selection Board.
This year we have enrolled 18 first year cadet, 16 second year cadet and 18
third year cadets. 49 among them had completed this year successfully.
As you all know how COVID-19 has impacted the lives of billions of people

difficulties and uncertainty, this entire year most of the camps were get
cancelled or either they conducted virtually.
Cadet Shubham Gupta Gupta and cadet Sakshi barakheda has attended online
National level camp ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ from 10th to 16th August
2020.
Cadet Dhaval Baber has attended Heartfulness - Experience of Life’s Potential
(HELP) conducted by Heartfulness Education Trust from 17th August-11th
September 2020.

CSUO Ratnesh Gupta has added one feather in KES Crown by getting selected
in the Maharashtra contingent of the National level Republic day camp at
Rajpath, New Delhi. As he is the only cadet from Mumbai -A group.
Cadet Sonu Devendra and the other 2 cadets work as Volunteer in ‘The
Training Community Volunteer in Disaster Response (Apda Mitra)’ organized
by NCC.
To promote and support FIT INDIA Movement, which was launched on 29th
August 2019 by the Hon'ble prime minister to make fitness an integral part of
our daily lives. Our NCC Unit had organised online Dancing Activity on 18th
August 2020 in which 48 cadets and their family members actively
participated. With NSS Association, the college NCC Unit had also organised
‘FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN of 21 KM’ between 07th -14th September,
where 17 NCC cadets and 21 other students participated.
Cadet Shubham Gupta and the other 2 cadets actively participate in Tree
Plantation Activity conducted on 26th July under the college campus with the
adoption of the rules of safety and social distancing of COVID-19.
On 8th March, 7 Senior Wing -cadets were attended the International Women’s
Day Seminar and interaction Smt. Yashomati Thakur, organised by Women &
Child Development Minister, Gov. of Maharashtra. And 10 cadets attended
Firing camp organized by the battalion at US CLUB, COLABA
All cadets actively participated in the creation of e-content for promoting
National Policies like MSME under ‘Atma Nirbhar’, to give tribute to Covid-
warriors, to create awareness about the importance of physical Fitness under
Fit India Moment, sensitize civilians about Arogya Setu App and honour our
soldier on Kargil Vijay Divas.
NCC unit organised a Presentation competition on the topic of “Job Seeker to
Job Creator” to promote Atma Nirbhar Bharat Campaign on 12th August,
where 18 cadets has participated.
· 52 cadets have participated in Constitution Day Youth Club Activities by taking
a pledge and disseminating poster of Constitution Day.
Apart from regular battalion routine training and participation in various camps
and Activities, our NCC Units celebrated the sixth International Yoga Day on
21st June where 27 NCC cadets and 47 other students and 50+ Teachers has
participated. College NCC Unit also observed 9th August as Kranti Divas to
remember the historic Quit India Movement Fighters and to give tribute to
various freedom fighters. Combined Independence Day was celebrated with a
spirit of patriotism. -Dr. Girish Trivedi, Founder Trustee, AIDS Combat
International was the chief guest on the occasion.
To motivate cadet for choosing defence as a career option, the college NCC
unit had organised A National Level Webinar on “Career Scope in Defence”
on 13th June, Mejor Prajakta Desai was a Guest speaker and 75 students
participated in the same.

On the account of India’s Freedom Struggle-Jallianwala Bagh Remembrance
Day and to promote “No to Plastic” our college NCC Unit has organised a
webinar on “Eco-Brick Challenge” where 46 students has participated and Dr.
Shubhajit Mukhargee was the chief guest.
To give honour to our Indian Air Force soldiers our NCC Unit celebrated Air
Force Day by Organizing a National level talk on “Journey to IAF”- Squadron
Leader Prasad Nadkarni, Apache Pilot was a speaker and almost 176 students
participated.
Beside from listed schedule activities of this year, NCC cadets had also taken
an initiative in the social activities like making soak pit for Rain water
harvesting in associationwith Mazi Vasundhara Abhiyan in the New Mahesh
Villa Society Andheri, Mumbai. 15 cadets have also participated in the plastic
clean up activity conducted at Chota Kashmir, Goregoan in support of Mazhi
vaundhara. They also participated in cycle rally to support “Ride to Rise and
Pedal for safety.
This time our NCC unit had taken lead to organised 6 days non-residential
Training camp for B’ and C’ Certificate cadets in our college premises under
the guidance of Lt. Col. Sudeep Misra, Adm Officer. Total 68 cadets from 7
different colleges have participated.
To felicitate and to give reward for the efforts shown by cadet Ratnesh Gupta
for making his presence in Republic Day Parade-2021, Rajpath, New Delhi.
We organised a felicitation ceremony in presence of Admin Officer Lt. Colonel
Sudeep Misra and All Teaching Staff. And we all thankful to Kes Management,
Principal Dr. Lily Bhushan and Vice-Principal V. S Kannan for considering
and rewarding cadet by Rs. 11,000.
NCC Unit as usual taken lead to organize this Republic Day event on the theme
“Atma Nirbhar Bharat. Total 82 students were participated with great
enthusiasm in this pandemic period.
I express my sincere thanks to Col. Tushar Joshi, The Commanding Officer
and Lt. Col. Sudeep Misra, Adm Officer of 3 MAH BN and the other PI staff
for their continuous support.
Special gratitude to Kandivali Education Society Management, principal Dr
Lily Bhushan and Vice-principal Dr V.S. Kannan. I am also thankful to the
core committee of all school teachers in-charge of this program. A special
thanks to all students of KES Junior College, SVPVV School, Kes Shroff
College, Kes Law College, T. P Bhatia and all the indirect participants from
little young once of KG up to college students of UG and PG, for making Poster
on the today’s theme and taking this event to a grand success.
I am also grateful to all the Principals, teachers and non-teaching staff of KES
family for their involvement and support. Without them this event would never
have been so wonderful and successful.

X Out-Come of the Programme
This pandemic Covid-19 could restrict the level of celebration but not the energy and enthusiasm of the
teachers and students. The following were the outcome of the programme:
• Cadets and Students showcased the flawless parade in this Pandemic situation, which portrayed
their capability, determination and patriotism for the country.
• A sense of pride and patriotic feelings were observed by active participation of teachers,
students and other non-teaching staff members
