Andreas Andersen is CEO and President of the Liseberg Group, operating one of Sweden’s most popular tourist attractions. He has spent the past seven years overseeing the theme park and its adjacent hotels, campsites, and entertainment venues.Andreas has a long association with IAAPA. He has previously served as Executive Director for IAAPA’s European office, leading the expansion of the association’s presence in Europe.He has served on the IAAPA Board of Directors since 2013. Hal McEvoy is interim president and CEO, and chief financial officer (CFO), of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the premier trade association for the amusement park and attractions industry worldwide. As interim president and CEO, McEvoy leads the global association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and prosperity of the attractions industry that represents more than 5,300 facility, supplier, and individual members from more than 100 countries. As CFO, McEvoy is the lead strategic advisor on all issues that have a financial impact on IAAPA’s global mission and member service offerings. In addition, he provides financial analysis and management to support the association’s growth and sustainability and oversees its information technology and legal functions.McEvoy joined IAAPA in 2017 following a successful 42-year career with Busch Entertainment Corporation/SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. There are two Think Tanks Sessions, with multiple sessions running concurrently, so you will have to pick and choose, or bring more team members to divide and conquer. * ASTM Committee F24 on Amusement Rides and Devices was formed in 1978. F24 meets twice a year, usually in February and October, with approximately 250 members from around the world attending two or three days of technical meetings. The Committee, with current membership of approximately 800 members, currently has jurisdiction of 19 standards, published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, Volume 15.07. These standards have and continue to play a preeminent role in all aspects important to amusement rides and devices.

The decisions in a number of work health and safety (WHS) prosecutions have established new precedents and demonstrate emerging trends that you need to be aware of. In this session Carlie Holt, partner, will provide an update on recent cases and the potential implications for your operations. Carlie will discuss:• WHS duties of business owners and officers• the first Category 1 prosecutions in Australia for individual officers and companies• trends in court sentencing and decisions that are being overturned, and• the court’s attitude to workers who do the wrong thing.
