O que é RFGW-10 ? RFGW-10 é uma plataforma Carrier Class Universal Edge QAM projetada para suportar
DOCSIS MCMTS e aplicações padrão de delivery de Video.
Similar aos edge QAM tradicionais o RFGW10 recebe tráfego DOCSIS/Video via interface ethernet e converte o sinal digital DMPT/MPEG para MPEG analogico e faz o streamer desse sinal para os assinantes.
RFGW-10 é um modulador de borda que agrega multiplas fontes de sinal DADOS/VIDEO, processando essas fontes em um sinal digital MPEG que será distribuido através de modulação QAM até os usuários finais (cable modems and set-top boxes).
Prove suporte a vários padrões de video broadcast (Standard and High Definition Digital Broadcast Television, Switched Digital Video (SDV), Video on Demand
(VoD), and DOCSIS/Modular CMTS services.
As versões iniciais do Cisco RFGW-10 eram equipamentos de downstream. (downstream do Cisco RFGW-10 para o cable modem ou set-top box).
RFGW-10 foi desenvolvido com base na plataforma de switch Cisco Catalyst (CAT4K).
