Participants shall be able to understand the context of awareness and acceptance as a pathway towards appreciation where people on the autism spectrum are valued for whom they are. Examples will be presented where a perceived weakness can be considered as a strength for leading a fulfillingand productive life

Adam Feinstein is a British author, translator, journalist, autism and a researcher. His book, A History of Autism: Conversations with the Pioneers, 2010, received widespreadpraise Professor Simon Baron-Cohen, of) Cambridge University, said it was ‘atreasure trove … and a terrific book’). He is currently completing a new book on autism andemployment. In 1998 Feinstein founded an internationalautism magazine, Looking Up www.lookingupautism.org). He has a sonwith autism Feinstein is a respected lecturer on autism in the US, Mexico, Argentina, Russia, Spain, Italy Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. His presentations in UK include talks at Cambridge and Oxford Universities andat the Royal Society in London

A board member of Autism Speaks, president emeritus of the Asperger/Autism Network, and former board member of the Autism Society, Prof. Shore serves on the boards of numerous related organizations.
