PRIESTHOOD SUNDAY: With Gratitude

This Sunday is designated by the Catholic Church

in the United States as Priesthood Sunday. We thank

Father John for his prayerful leadership of our

parish community, and we pray for all our priests.

O God, who made your Only Begotten Son

eternal High Priest,

grant that those he has chosen

as ministers and stewards of your mysteries

may be found faithful and carry out

the ministry they have received.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever (Collect, Mass for Priests\

ROMAN MISSAL).

Parishioners who are going to have surgery or

who are dealing with a serious illness are

encouraged to receive the SACRAMENT of the

he preached and cared for the poor, he was always

aware of the beauty of all creation. On his feast we

celebrate the dignity of all life and the joy God gives

us through our animal friends. Next Saturday,

parishioners to bring their family pets for a blessing.
