Provided that the Conunissioner may take up sr.ich claims forconsidenation in a summary rnanfier separately, if he deems it fit orconcurrently with the procedure for disposal of the appiication forcompensation under the Act".;

Assessment af ioss af eerning capaciflt .- (1) A quaiifieilrnedicai practitioner, upon the request of an injured employee or trrisr,heremployer or on tire reference made by any Conunissloner, shall issue acertificate shou'ing the percentage of disablement and consequential loss ofearning capacity of the injur"ed eirplc;,,ee within a period of one inoirtli fiornthe date of examinatioi: of sueh illiur.d persolt;

(2) A quaiified rnedical ]";iatr-riiioiier:. L,pon a leflerence rnade by all,Corarnissioner shali requii'e sucir an ini'ui'ed person to appear before hirn forexamination within fifteen da1's ,:f, such refbrence and issue the certificate;

(3) In cases where the injui'erl person is not able to appear trefore themedical practitioner due to serious iryury, the Coirirnissioner rnay direct thernedical practitioner to visit the injured person within fifteen clays and reporl;

The GoverruIent have decided to incorporate suitable provisions in the KeralaEmployees Compensation Rules, 1958, providing for the reiinburseirient of theactual rnedical expenditure incurerJ fbr the treatrnent of injuries by accident arisingout of and in the course of emplol,inent and for assessment of loss of eamingcapacity for the benefit of injured employee or dependents of the deceaseclernployee.

This notification is inteneieci to achieve the above object.
