water (1:4) @ 30, 45 DAS or Imidachloprid: water(1:20) @60 DAS is recommended.

Pink boll worm incidence was noticed below ETL level, Though farmers are adviced to take the following measures

Pheromone traps should be installed immediately at the field level for monitoring of the incidence levels on community basis.

Observation of rosette flowers and sampling of green bolls should be done regularly for monitoring and intensity of the field incidence.

Destroy rosette flowers and remove the dropped squares, dried flowers and pre-matured bolls to suppress the pest population periodically at the initial stage.

Maize

Inter cultivation should be done with cultivator at 30-35 DAS to avoid the weeds. To avoid the stem borer incidence apply carbofuran granules @ 3kg/acre. Fall army worm and grain pod borer are observed in parts of Nandikotkurmandaland Atmakurdivision . Control : Farmers are advised to sprayEmamectin benzoate @0.4 ml/lit (or)Thiomethoxam @2.5ml +
