Answer: For item #7 the shirts will be red. For item #’s 8, 9, and 12, the shirts will be black.

f) Are we supplying the shirt with screen printing for 7, 8, 9? If so, what is the style number and
the color of the shirt that is being requested.
Answer: Yes, you are supplying the shirt with screen printing. Sport Tek T-shirt T473 and
T473LS. The shirt colors will be black and red.

Answer: We will need 100 short sleeve and 100 long sleeve in red. (650) short sleeve and (650)

3. Item 56, Windbreaker:
a) Please provide style of brand.
Answer: New Star Classic 560 MBK or equal. Police Embroidered on front chest and back.
b) What size is the embroidery on the front and back of item?
Answer: We don’t have actual measurements for the embroidery, however we have included
pictures of both the front and back of our current uniform jackets.

image with the dimensions? Answer: Item 65-67 The current brand is Premier Emblem. After reviewing their catalog it does not appear they have the specific ranks for items 65-67.

Answer: Unfortunately, we cannot amend the spreadsheet at this time, however you have the capability of including pricing for both on items on the spreadsheet. Rho-Glo Is silver for Officers and Hi-Glo is Gold for Sergeants and above.

Answer: The awarded vendor will be responsible for providing the patches.

Answer: No, they are not adhesive. They are sewn onto the shirt.

Answer: We need both embroidery and patches on shirts. Example; 5.11 Bike Polo will have 2

14. Item 96:
a) How many departments?
Answer: We do not have departments. We are a police department that has units. We have
unit Patches- K9, ICT, Standard Department patches, District Security, Badge Patch for K9 and
ICT.
15. Item 121, does it require embroidery?
Answer: Cloth Ranks are rank insignia embroidered on cloth, then sewn on the collar of the shirt.

For Officers the thread will be silver/gray. For Sergeants and above it will be gold. The rank will change with the persons specific rank. Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Commander, Major, Deputy Chief, and Chief.

Answer: Item 140 is not the HSGI double decker Pistol, it is the Rothco jacket, and the
product number was verified.
21. Items 159-164: a) Do you have a model number for each item listed, and if not, can we get an image and
detailed description of each item? Answer: Manufacture is ELC, item code 212. Cobra knot with hidden loop. Item pictured is from Eiseman and Ludmar Accessories Item 159 is needed in Gold, White, and Black and blue.

28. Can you please clarify on the sample section VIII, Are we required to send samples with the bid, or will these be required after bid opening and awardees have been announced? Will the awardee be required to submit samples for all items, or for requested items? Answer: At the time of evaluation, samples will be requested for the department to review, if necessary.
Answer: Substitutes will be reviewed by the department if submitted.
30. Does the fitting and alterations service apply to all or select line items?
Answer: Hemming needs to be done on the trousers
31. What is the estimated quantity for line item 172?
Answer: 75; However, the quantity that we order is not guaranteed
32. Should Name Tape be with Velcro or without Velcro? Answer: Without Velcro. The picture below is a name tape, White thread for officers and gold for Sergeants and ranks above. Answer: This line is not for tailoring. It is a piece of the uniform. Hidden tailor belt. Please see picture

Answer: All Fees should be incorporated into the pricing.

Answer: This is the 5.11 bike polo. Officers the thread will be a silver/gray. For Sergeants and above the thread will be gold. I do not know what the thread count is.
The above picture is for ICT. It is the 5.11 Rapid Performance Polo. It will need the officers name
embroidered as well as the badge and Incident Containment Team. The colors for the ICT team will
always be black shirts with this gray/silver thread.

36. Will orders be submitted via email or webstore? Answer: Officers are given a Uniform Authorization Form that they bring to the vendor. At that time the officer will be fitted for their uniforms.
37. Where the new hires will be fitted? Answer: At the awarded vendor’s local shop or at a location specified by M-DCPS Police Department.
38. Would you need a sample room created in your location? Answer: A Sample Room will be required if the bidder does not have a local storefront. Bidders shall be required to perform initial measurements, fitting, and altercations of uniforms for a school police personnel to include Officers, Civilians, and Cadets. A sample room will consist of all our uniform items including foot wear in various sizes for our officers to try on to receive the appropriate size.
39. How many officers are you expecting to provide uniforms per year? Answer: Approximately 500 Officers.
40. Who will be inspecting the orders once delivered? Quality control. Answer: The Sergeants and the Commander of the Administrative Division will be conducting a very extensive and meticulous inspection.
41. How many orders (average) will be place per week? Answer: The orders will vary; approximately 20 to 25.

42. Timeframe to deliver the orders. Answer: Please refer to section 7.7 Orders in the solicitation.
43. How many items per officer? Answer: It will vary between officers. Anywhere from 1 item to 12 or more items. A good average would be 8 to 10 items.
44. Do minimum order quantities apply?
Answer: No
45. If fitting and alteration services only apply to select line items, can you clarify which ones those are?
Answer: 1 and 2 need hemming
46. Are embroidery or screen-printing required under the scope of work? If so, which line items does it
apply to?
Answer: Yes, please see the Spreadsheet. Each Item that needs screen print and embroidery are noted in the spreadsheet.
47. Can you clarify the warranty requirements? In one section of the bid it states "warranty of items shall be the same as the manufacturer's warranty" and in another section that "warranty shall be a minimum of 5 years for structured garments." Which products are considered structured garments? Answer: The warranty of the items after delivery and acceptance by the School Police shall be the
same as the manufacturer’s warranty. The awardee will be responsible for repairing or replacing each
unit during the warranty period, at no cost to the School Board. Awardees must agree to repair,
return or replace items within five (5) days from receipt of request or provide a temporary
replacement. Structured garments are garments that are tailored to fit and fall exactly as intended.
This is what is on the bid, under the warranty section.
48. Is a store front or service center required within “X” miles for the award of this bid? Answer: Bidders shall be required to perform initial measurements, fitting, and alterations of uniforms for all school police personnel including Civilian staff and Cadets. We prefer to have a local bidder within Miami-Dade County with a store front. If a bidder does not have a storefront within Miami-Dade County, the bidder must come to a location specified by M-DCPS Police Department, so that the officers may be fitted appropriately.
49. Do the orders need a PO to be processed? Answer: Orders will be fulfilled using a PO.
50. Can we have the previous award and tab sheet? Answer: There has not been a previous award or tab sheet. We have used the City of Miami 486326 (22) Police Uniforms and accessories.
51. There were previous bids requested in 2019, is this bid a replacement from those?
