The Board of Wiring Examiners held ten meetings during the year. Five Wirenlens’ Licenses were issued. two of which were subsequently cancelled, because of failure to comply with the Wiring Ordinance. '
Six candidates were examined for proficiency in wiring, two of which were granted certificates, one a temporary certificate, and two rejected.
During the year 542 wiring permits were issued, 880 tests and inspections were made, and 555 service connection permits were issued.
With the present help I find it impossible to keep this work up as it should be, and at the present time there are upwards of 300 wiring jobs awaiting final inspectim.
ELECTRIC PIPE Tnawiuc
The severe frosts of the past Winter necessitated the use of the Electric Pipe Thaw 31-.
The first thaw was made Feb. 161.11, and from that till March 17th,‘ 56 service pipes were thawed, the average time consumed for each § inch pipe-being 11% minutes actual connection with the pipe.

STREET RAILWAY TESTS. Volt meter readings were made over the Street Railway line‘ in
November, with the result that the potential between rail and hy- drant in no case exceeded 1 volt, with pipe positive to rail.

Gertificate No. 21.
This is to certify that the lines of railway of the Halifax Electric Tramway Company, Limited, situated on the streets hereinafter specified, to wit :—-
Beginning at a point on Coburg Road at or about the east line of Edward Street; thence running to a point on Spring Garden Road about eighty feet east of Robie Street, being all the double track constructed on Coburg Road, across Hobie Street-, and on Spring Garden Road between the two puims mentioned, by the Halifax Electric Tramway Company, Limited, have been constructed to my satisfaction.
