June at Dungog It was certainly touch and go with knowing whether or not the weekend would go ahead due to the rain. After keeping a close eye

on the grounds and staying in touch with Eddie from Dungog Showground a decision was finally made on Friday morning at

7.30am that everything was go go go. Thank you to everyone for respecting the cordoned off section where the on site caravans

were located. Even though we had to relocate our office and canteen everything seemed to work out fine. Camping was in closer

confines than usual but thankfully Dungog Showground is such a large ground that there was still plenty of room for everyone. It

was great to see riders gathering around roaring fires on Friday and Saturday night. We gave our new PA system a whirl and even

had our new Sponsors’ Advertisements running through it over the weekend. We would like to thank Shannon at Music Specialists

Maitland for doing such a great deal for us.

1st $500— Donna McMahon 2nd $100 Baileys of Greta Voucher—Matt McFadyen 3rd Feed/Asstd Horse Gear—Donna McMahon Leesa Barker who is our Head Cattleperson and her daughter Cheraz were devastated by the recent April storms, their house was flooded and thye lost many of their possessions. A decision was made to donate almost $1000 to them from the profits of the raffle we ran recently. This was unbeknown to Leesa and Cheraz and both were very shocked and emotional when they received the news. Below is a photo of Liz Vella presenting Leesa with the money.
