Identification: Seeing a hazard and knowing what it is

Assessment: knowing the risk of each hazard

Control: what may be done to limit the hazard from causing harm or loss

Elimination: removing the hazard Control: having a plan to reduce the risk

of the hazard Three main types of Hazard Control: Engineering- ie. Improving ventilation,

adjusting work area Adminstrative- ie. Training workers Basic controls- PPE- last resort
