Physical science are workbooks; you tear out the pages as assigned.

Keep handouts in your folder SAVE SAVE SAVE for FCAT/EOC review

After tests, file your papers at home so you don’t have to bring them back and forth.

If you need to go.. TRY to go before class starts in between classes

You must ask to have your agenda signed or get a pass

Electronics/Candy/Snacks

After 4th hour is lunch You will have a SPECIFIC TABLE you are to sit

at. ALWAYS! I will pick you up for 5th hour.. CLEAN UP or

we don’t leave! DON’T leave until I get there. You should NOT be ahead of me!

Floor MUST be clean before we leave Hall behavior must be proper or

consequences will occur!• KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF PEOPLE and things that don’t

belong to you• Negative comments to yourself • I HEAR VERY WELL and I blend well in a crowd (you

never know when I’ll pop up)

Cafeteria and Hallways

We will be using computers frequently (get a flash/SD card, headphones, and student or parent email address GMAIL is great for group work)

Computer use is a privilege that can be taken away

If a computer is found with damage alert me immediately!

Any student caught destroying/altering computer format or property will not be allowed to use computers in school

Additional charges may apply for students caught ruining any equipment

Computer Use

Don’t be “chronically” late. ABUSE will result in “Tardy” being assigned Don’t go behind my desk (unless asked)• This is like ME going in YOUR bag

Don’t touch ANY setups in the room (LABS etc….)

Don’t take other people’s things (even if it’s a “joke”)

Leave the “pets” alone unless I take them out. You CAN get seriously injured at YOUR expense.

Other Don’ts

Try to do your best Suggest your ideas. I’m open for student

suggestions Approach me if you have something you need to

discuss (personal info.) Try to fix problems BEFORE parents are

notified..you’re big kids now.

Ask questions when you REALLY aren’t clear on something. I can’t read minds..unfortunately.

Make new friends, try something new, DON’T be afraid to make mistakes. I make them frequently!

Biology will take the Biology EOC exam NOT the FCAT!

EOC counts for 30% of Final Grade! You’ll ALL do well! 57 5s, 14 4s, 3 3s.

Physical science (adv.) will take the FCAT◦ FCAT is grades 6, 7, 8 (Earth, Life, Physical) ◦ Warm ups at the Start of Class will begin next

week to provide continuous REVIEW for FCAT and EOC. YOU WILL be required to write the prompt and select the answers. More to come.

Other Notes

ALL Advanced/Gifted Physical Science will be required to find, develop, and perform an experiment for Science Fair. DON’T worry, it will be done step by step with my assistance.

Encourages YOU to think about science in the “Real World” and hey, you MAY win some $$$ if you make it to the state competition.
