He was born in Stratford-upon-Avon and baptised there on 26 April 1564. His actual birthdate remains unknown, but is

traditionally observed on 23 April. William Shakespeare was the son of John Shakespeare, a successful glover and

Mary Arden. Most biographers agree that Shakespeare probably was educated at the King's New School in

Stratford.

Just after the marriage with Anne Hathaway he had left for London. We don’t know why he did it. Maybe the reason was his love for poetry and theatre, but there’s another one

wich says he had to run away from law.

It is not known exactly when Shakespeare began writing, but records of performances show that several of his plays were on the London stage by 1592. He began a successful career in London as an actor, writer, and part owner of a playing company called the Lord Chamberlain's Men, later known as the King's Men. Some time later he creates his own theatre “the Globe”.

By 1598, his name had become a selling point and began to appear on the title

pages. But most of Shakespeare’s plays are lost or not published in his life. His creative

route is divided into three periods :

1) Early comedies and poems

“The Merry Wives of Winsdor” “All’s Well that Ends Well” “Twelfth Night” “Much Ado about Nothing”
