Kaye Franklin,
Kaye began her art career more than 30 years ago. She studied exclu-sively with Connecticut artist, William Henry Earle in the early 80’s. She has also studied at the Scottsdale Artist School. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF OUR MEMBERS !
I hope all of you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season with friends and family. Now it's time to get back to our art. I think most of us are so busy over the holidays that we don't have time to paint. I can't wait to pick up my brushes and get started!
Our programs for this year are very exciting, starting with Kaye Franklin in January. Then in February, John Cook will be demonstrating his fan-
tastic painting skills.
Our monthly Mini Show resumes this month, so be sure to bring a paint-
ing to enter. First place is a $25 gift certificate from Asel Art, second
place is a $15 gift certificate and third place an Honorable Mention. Re-member if you don't enter, you can't win!

Thanks to everyone who came to our Christmas Party at the Highland Park Cafeteria. We en-joyed the good food and fellowship with artists friends. Sarah King did a fantastic job with the critique and gave us a lot of pointers on how to improve our paintings. We learned about Sarah’s art background (and that she does caricatures).
