Participants will learn about bee biology, practice hands-on bee identification through microscopes and will explore plants and bees in field activities with Olivia and a team of biology experts. All sessions are 9AM to 4PM. Cost: Handouts, lunch and refreshments included. $65 per person, or $80 including Olivia’s book. To register: http://go.osu.edu/gobees Registration deadline: July 21 Free lecture and book signing event with Olivia Carril Thursday, August 3rd, 7PM Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, free and open to all. Please register. Olivia will discuss the natural history of bees, emphasizing the ones most commonly seen in Ohio and how to recognize them. She will also provide <ps on encouraging these important pollinators in your backyard. Olivia Carril has been studying bees for over 20 years, and is the author of The Bees in Your Backyard, A Field Guide to North America's Bees.
