Farnham, author with Ferdinand Lundberg, of the significant book "Modern Woman-The Lost Sex will be the guest speaker at our Sunday Morning Services. Dr. Farnham's work has awakened widespread discussion regarding the relationshiup of modern husbands, wives, parents and children. There will be an opportunity for written questions following the discourse.
uCrossfire"-A Mistake?" November 16th
In response to requests, Rabbi Newman is dealing again with the theme of "Crossfire", inquiring whether the preparation and portrayal of the theme of Anti-Semitism on the screen is a mistake. Due to inclement weather on October 31st, a considerable number of those who wished to attend Services were prevented from doing so. "Crossfire" has stimulated controversy throughout the country and opens up the question of the advisability of dealing with Jewish issues in films.
Mr. Leland Stowe We are pleased to announce that our
guest speaker at the Sunday Morning Services on December 7th will be Mr. Leland Stowe, considered to be the dean of American journalists. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1930 for his articles on the European scene, and since then has covered every major historical event of our times. His dispatches on the German occupation of Norway constituted one of the most graphic stories of the recent World War. Be sure to place this important date in your calendar. Other noted guest speakers of the year include: Jan. 25th-Randolph Churchhill, the son of former Prime Minister, Winston Churchill; Feb. 22nd-Eugene O'Neil, Jr., son of the illustrious playwright; March 21st-Frances Perkins, former Secretary of Labor in President Roosevelt's Cabinet.

HEBREW, ART AND MUSIC
We wish to call your attention to the fine Courses in Hebrew, Art and Music being given under the auspices of the Adult Education Committee of which Mr. Harold Fields is Chairman. Rabbi Soltes is Instructor of the Hebrew Classes, and an admirable opportunity is given our Congregants to come to know our classic and modern Hebrew in a vivid and inspiring manner. Our Art Classes with Miss Eleanor Lust as Instructor, furnish an outlet for manual and creative activity so infrequently available to us in metropolitan life. Our Youth Chorus under the direction of
Rabbi Soltes, and our Adult Chorus under the leadership of Cantor Melt. zoff welcome the enrollment of all persons with or without singing talent. We have thousands of persons who come to our Temple and Temple House for our social and cultural functions . Is it not possible that out of these great throngs, we may enlist smaller groups dedicated to a particular activity of per· sonal interest ? We invite readers of our "Chronicle" and friends to inquire reo garding these Courses and to register without delay.
