2 Nominated Tech Panel has to complete atleast one year in IBM

3 Nominated Tech Panel has to have PBC Rating of 2+ and 1

Technical Panel Selection Criteria

4If the Nominated panel has niche skill/s, he can be empanelled if he has completed 8 to 10 months in IBM with minimum 6 yrs of experience and PBC Rating of 2 (as an exception only)

Mininum experience for any MF&As400 panel has to be 3.5 yrs

5 Nominated Panel has to shadow for atleast 1 weekend interview or must have shadowed for 4 to 5 weekday tech interviews.

Nomination should be recommended and approved by his People Manager to be empanelled to take interviews.

2 Training institutes faculty rejected at screening level; Hands-on coding experience required mandatorily

3 Need to know the skill combinations i.e know the family of MF & AS400 skillsWhile screening profiles

Technical Screening

4 Candidates should have worked on the niche skill during his career and not just mentioned in “skill known”. To be probed further during tech round

5 Experience vis.a.vis current role played by the candidate should be justified

Required JRSS should have been worked on atleast in the last 2 projects

2IMS / CICS - evaluation on Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM is a must and candidates must clear those assessments with min 3 rating. Post this the candidates would be evaluated on CICS.

Mandatory Skill combinations.

4IMS DB candidates may not be good in DB2. They are still eligible for PDM.

5 For Assembler candidates – JCL, VSAM is a must. Cobol optional.

Vanila - All vanilla skills like Cobol, DB2, JCL and VSAM is a must. Vanilla Rating must be minimum 3 in all skills.

3 Incase candidates do not qualify for these two niche skills candidates can be considered for vanilla positions if there are any open.

7For AS400 candidates – RPG400, CL400, DB2400, SQL400 is mandatory.

Mandatory Skill combinations.

9All Skill evaluation must be mentioned with individual rating in the tech assessment form – Entire form must be fulfilled for Tech Selected Candidates.

For PL1 candidates – JCL, VSAM,DB2 is a must. Cobol optional.

8 Incase candidates have RPGILE, it needs to be rated. Incase they do not qualify for RPGILE, we can still go for RPG400 candidates.

10 Some of the other niche skills which are not mentioned would be discussed based on the requirement.

Any other observation made on the candidate’s exp, work profile, skills etc should be captured in the comments sections at the end of the form and also clear notes to the PDM written wherever necessary.

Account Panels while selecting for their Account very clearly to mention in the Tech Form the account name for which the candidate has been selected & also keep in mind that the candidate/resource can be later deployed in the other account if required

6We will not be considering contract employees. Only candidates who areregular employees of Tier 1 or Tier 2 organization to be assessed.

Incase panels are not able to evaluate on skill they don’t have, they must refer to another round of interview for niche skills.

7 Candidates from training institutes are also not to be assessed.

8 For Rejected Candidates – Reason for Rejected must be mentioned clearly

9Panels to only do tech assessment and NOT to discuss on project, joining location, or salary.

10Tech panels NOT to interview candidates with more experience then themselves

Tech Panel Do’s & Don’t’s

3If candidate’s 1st telephonic interview is at Non IBM/Non Vendor Location the 2nd round of interview should be a F2F Round at the IBM /Vendor location if candidate come for the Vendor drive.

In Gurgaon location – 2 panels are mandatory for single interview(1 candidate). In case there are more candidates , single panel to interview the candidate is allowed

2Tech panels to report by 9:30 am mandatorily. PDM panels to be there by 10:30 am. All panels to stay on till end of the interviews.

4 Note : Tech assessment sheets are confidential and not to be shared with The Vendors organizing drives.

5Very IMP – Panels not to spend too much time on the candidates who are not technically sound. Snapshot evaluation to be done in the first 20 mins
