Tiddler

Author – Julia Donandson and Axel Scheffler

Tiddler was a small fish who used to tell a lot of stories. I liked the tales that Tiddler

used to tell because they were full of imagination.

I didn’t likt when Tiddler got lost. Tiddler was always late.

Pinocchio

Author – Carlo Collodi It is about the adventures of a marionette and

his father, a poor woodcarver named Geppetto. I liked the ending part when Pinocchio behaves

and turns into a boy. I didn’t like Pinocchio when he behaved badly

and met naughty beggars and the cat and the fox.

It was interesting that Pinocchio’s nose grew long when he told lies.

My first Opposites

Author – Disney Pixar It’s about cars and tracks. I like the

different sizes of the cars and the shapes. I liked everything about the story.

Mostly I enjoyed reading and looking at the different shapes.

Cars – Team Work

Author – Disney The story is about cars. Lightning wanted

to be famous and Mater wanted a friend. I liked it when during the race Lightning

helped an old friend to win the race. What he wanted most were friends not to be

famous. I didn’t like it when Lightning was sad because he had to fix the road. I like this

Donald and Douglas

Author – Brenda Apsley It is about two twin engines. They are

friends of Thomas the train. I liked the story because the fat controller

chose Thomas not the twins. I didn’t like the fact that the two engines

The little red hen

Author – Arpita Barua The story is about a hen who wanted to

plant wheat seeds and asked her friend to help.

I like how the hen did everything by herself.

I didn’t like the hen’s friends because they didn’t help her.

The Elves and The Shoemaker

Author – Gaby Goldsack A poor shoemaker had a small piece of leather to make one pair of shoes. He cut

out a pair and found it ready the next morning. He sold them and bought more

leather. Two tiny elves sew the shoes. The shoemaker made tiny clothes and shoes

for the elves as a present. They were very happy. I didn’t like the fact that the elves

Puss in Boots

Author – Classic Tales for Children Puss was a very clever cat and he had

plans for his master to become rich. What I like about the story is that Puss had brilliant ideas that worked really well. I didn’t like the part where the cruel

landlord wanted to kill Puss. I enjoyed reading this story.

Everything you need to know about DINOSAURS

Author – Dougal Dixon It is a book about all kinds of facts of

dinosaurs. It tells you about different species and their characteristics. I like the story because it has a lot of pictures and crafts that describe how dinosaurs looked and lived.

There was nothing I did not like about this book ! This book is simply fantastic !

Mr. Bump

Author – Roger Hangreaves A man called Mr. Bump does a lot of jobs

and bumps all the time. I liked the funny bumps. I didn’t like the part when he got the

blame and lost his jobs. The book is really funny. Reviewed by William

The Outing

Author – Roderick Hunt The story is about a school trip to the

museum where the kids learned about dinosaurs.

I liked to read about the different dinosaurs.

The rain ruined the visit to the zoo. I wish that I went with them on an

The Emperor’s New Clothes

Author – H.C. Anderson The story is about the Emperor and a man

with new clothes that only clever people can see.

I really liked the part when the Emperor realised that he was running around

without his clothes on. I recommened this book to everyone . It is

a very funny story. There is nothing I don’t like about this story.

The Palace Statues

Author – Cynthia Rider The magic key took the children to a palace. They had to capture the thieves and put the jewels back on the statue.

I liked it when the magic began to glow and when the robbers were screaming.

I didn’t like it when the palace was very dark.

My favourite Stories for Boys

Author – Brown Watson The story I chose is about Hide and Seek. I liked the part where the tiger cub finds

the snake. I didn’t like it that the story was too short.

Sponge Bob’s feeling ill !

Author – Simon and Schuster This story is about the everyday

adventures of Spongebob and Patrick. I like that every page has a different

texture to touch. There is nothing that I don’t like in this

Christmas Adventure

Author – Roderick Hunt It was Christmas day. The story is about

father christmas and the children. I liked the surprise that the children gave

to father christmas. I didn’t like the fact that father christmas

was so tired. I really love Christmas !

Author – Award Publications Limited God told Noah to build an ark before a

storm. He told him to gather all kinds of animals and birds two by two.

I really liked the animals and birds in the ark.

Roman Soldier. I learnt about the daily life of the soldiers.

I liked everything in this book. One day I want to go to Rome.

The Gruffalo’s Child

Author – Julia Donaldson When the Gruffalo’s child sneaked out of

the cave she found herself finding something, but what was it?

I liked the part when the gruffalo is snoring and the snake too.

I didn’t like it when the big, bad mouse appeared.

The Leopard and the sky god

Author – Mairi Mackinnon The Leopard had a new drum and the sky

god wanted it. The animals helped the sky god to get it.

I liked it when the Leopard defended the drum from all the animals that wanted it. I liked all the story. There is no part I

didn’t like. Mostly, I liked the coloured pictures !

Toy Story

Seek and Sick Woodey had a party togther with all the characters.

I like the part when the toys come out to play and cheer.

I didn’t like the part about the potatoes in the story.

Rollo the Rabbit

Author – Peter Adby This story is about a rabbit named Rollo

who was a pet that stayed in the garden. One day he found a hole in the fence and

he wanted to go and see the world. I liked the part when Rollo got home safe

and just on time for his tea. I didn’t like the part when Rollo met a fox
