Math: Topic 2-10 Thursday: 100 Book Challenge and Sight Word Card Math: Topic 2-11 What We Are Learning This Week Reading: We are going to read stories about Leaves. Guided Reading Groups are established. During groups the class will focus on types of leaves, and patterns of the stories, depending on if your child is reading a fiction/non-fiction story. Phonics Focus: We will finish Unit 2 this week in FUNDATIONS. We are working on CVC patterns. Students are working on tapping out words, using the tile boards correctly and spelling the words away when finished. We are working on WORDS OF THE DAY and TRICK WORDS as well. Writing: We will be writing about the Fall in our Journals and also about certain themes like: Bullying, The Weather, etc. Think Fundations when you are writing your words!!” Math: Unit 2: Understanding Subtraction. We are moving right along! Unit 1 Test is completed. Results will go home shortly.
