Traffic and Pedestrian Safety – Speed Limit Notification Devices

Purpose: Install speed notification devices to reduce speed, improve traffic and pedestrian safety, as well as promote safe routes to school and public transit safety.

Scope: Areas with high pedestrian travel (schools/parks) and areas with observed or reported speed issues.

Proposed Initial Locations: Harrison St. near Vander Veer Park – One on each side River Drive, between Concord and Credit Island – One each direction Veterans Parkway, between Eastern and Tremont – One each direction Locust Street, east of Wisconsin Ave – Eastbound West 36th near Pine Brady St., North of Locust near Madison School Harrison St., near Central High Brady Street, near Brady Street Stadium
