The Central Sports Promotion Board noted the action on thedecisions taken in the last meeting.

Item No.3 Report of the Secretary, Central Sports Promotion Board onthe AcmuntS of the 2007 ~ and updated as on 2.2.2009.

.TIle secretary apprised the Board about the work: done in the fieldof Sports briefly. The Central Provident Fund Commissionerappreciated the report. The contents of the report were noted by the

The SQard approved the Annual Receipt and Payment Accountsd·the Central Sports Promotion Board for the year 2007-08 with the .'

following. observations.

•• The Baard also decided that the entire surplus rundsavaitable withthe Regional Sports Promotion BQc:trdto be deposited in Account No. '.4A of the Head Office so that. all 'the Boards should start with zero '.balance every year.

•• The Board was informed that some Regions did not submit theirAccounts and Requisitions for allotment cl budget. The Committeetook a firm stand that in any case the Receipt and payment A<:counts.of the Regional Sports Promotion Boards should reach to the Head,office. by 30th April of each year. . All the Regional.Commissioriers/ptesidents Regional Sports Promotion ,Boards toensure strict compliance cl the above instructions.

Item No. ·7. ALLOTMENT OF BUDGET.

It was brought to the notice cH the Board that the Host Regions demands for theinaease in the budget and also demands specific instructions how to utilize the funds head.wise. Therefore, the head wise allocation of budget was placed before the board. It was alsobrought to the notice of the Board that the budget for the year 2009-10 was being increasedby 10% over from the year 2008-09. The host Regions are to conduct. the event within theallotted budget. The head wise allocation of budget is as under:

Any other item with the permission Qf the Chair.

1. Member from the West. zone requested the board to conduct the veteran event asdecided in the last meeting: The Ptesiderlt desired that the veterans can play thesports in the sportsman spirit in their Regions. '

2. Some of the members requested the President to extend the tenure of the CentralspOrts Promotton Board and Central Staff Welfare Comfllittee from two years to threeyears. The President accepted the request made by the members and extended theterm of the tenure of the Central Staff Welfare Committ~ and Central SportsPromOtion Board for one more year.
