Dear Friends,
This New Church Year brings us many things to be grateful
for—even if some of them are the same every year! It is fun and
edifying to watch when individual parishioners (or even non
pa-rishioners who come seeking something more) find themselves
appreciating the Mysteries and the meaning of our Catholic Faith in
a way that is new for them. One key element in that kind of
breakthrough is the joyful example of convinced believ-ers. One
person who lives faithfully and joyfully will help many others to
do the same.
Think about the way you respond inside, interiorly (try
repeat-ing that quickly five times!), when you hear that the
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is this week. Some people
love to hear that and to honor Mary in special ways on that day.
The same is true about Our Lady of Guadalupe. And St. Lucy and St.
John of the Cross, etc., etc. Try including your favorite ele-ments
of the Faith in your conversations with others. You might be
surprised that they also have their own special favorites.
Try to be a convincing believer this week. Accompany others
while they accompany Our Lady and the Saints in prayer, song and
celebration.
We will have special devotions in honor of Our Lady on December
12th. And on December 8th we are happy to honor the Patroness of
our Nation, Mary the Immaculate Conception. Join me in
congratulating and thanking a special member of our parish, Deacon
Mario Mendoza. Deacon Mario has not been able to be out in public
due to the pandemic but he has served with exemplary devotion and
love for many years in this par-ish. This past week he celebrated
his 86th birthday! He was thrilled when a number of parishioners
made a drive-by caravan of well-wishes. God bless you, Deacon
Mario! We are praying for you!

Queridos amigos,
Este Año Nuevo de la Iglesia nos trae muchas cosas por las que
debemos estar agradecidos —¡incluso si algunas de ellas son
repeticiones de todos los años! Es divertido y ejemplar darnos
cuenta cuando los feligreses (o incluso aquellos que no lo son y
que vienen en busca de algo más) se encuentran apreciando los
Misterios y el significado de nuestra Fe Católica de una manera
nueva para ellos. Un aspecto clave en ese descubrimiento es el
ejemplo gozoso de los creyentes convertidos. Una persona que vive
fielmente y alegremente ayudará a muchos otros a hacer lo
mismo.
Piensen en la forma en que ustedes responden por dentro,
interiormente (¡intenten repetir eso rápidamente cinco veces!), al
oir que la Solemnidad de la Inmaculada Concepción es esta semana. A
algunas personas les encanta escucharlo y honrar a María de manera
especial ese día. Lo mismo sucede con Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.
Y con Santa Lucía y San Juan de la Cruz, etc., etc. Intenten
incluir sus elementos favoritos de la Fe en sus conversaciones con
los demás. Probablemente se sorprendan de que ellos también tengan
sus propios elementos especiales favoritos.
Traten de ser creyentes convincentes esta semana. Acompañen a
otros mientras ellos siguen a Nuestra Señora y a los Santos en
oración, canto y celebración.
Tendremos devociones especiales en honor a Nuestra Señora el 12
de diciembre. Y el 8 de diciembre alegremente honraremos a la
Patrona de nuestra Nación, María la Inmaculada Concepción.
Únanse conmigo para felicitar y agradecer a un miembro espe-cial
de nuestra iglesia, el diácono Mario Mendoza. El diácono Mario no
ha podido salir en público debido a la pandemia, pero ha servido
con devoción y amor ejemplares durante muchos años en esta
parroquia. ¡La semana pasada celebró su cumpleaños numero 86! Se
emocionó mucho cuando varios feligreses hic-ieron una caravana de
buenos deseos. ¡Dios te bendiga, diácono Mario! ¡Estamos rezando
por ti!

Confessions are being heard in the meeting rooms down the hall
to the right of the main entrance to the church in Rooms 8, 9 and
10. We are using these rooms so that the prescribed social
distancing rules can be observed for your protection and ours.
Las confesiones están siendo escuchadas en las salas de
reuniones 8, 9 y 10, ubicadas en el pasillo a la derecha de la
entrada principal de la iglesia. Estas salas se están usando para

A brief Communion Service is being offered on the courtyard at
9:00 am Monday-Saturday and at 10:00 am on Sundays.W

All baptisms and baptism classes are back on schedule. They will
require the same guidelines and restrictions for social dis-tancing
as attending Mass at St. Anthony. Call the parish office between
9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Baptism dates and
registration forms are available on our parish website under the
“Sacraments.”

ADVENT GIVING TREE 2020
Our Advent Giving Tree will return this year with a special
focus on children 3-years-old and young-er. Choose a tag from the
tree or if you're unable to come to church, the items most
critically need-ed are: warm clothes, baby wipes and Similac
Advance (the blue label) baby formula. Items may be dropped off at
the parish office during business hours or left by the tree in the
church. Your generosity is greatly appreciated as we await Our
Newborn King.
MASON DISTRICT STATION CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE 2020! End 2020 on a
positive note!
Help us help the disadvantaged in our community. Toy donations
accepted for ages newborn to teen. Gift cards of any denomination
appreciated. Collection closing date is Dec. 13th.

John the Baptist is the forerunner who pre-pared the way for the
coming of the Savior. He preached a Gospel of repentance for the
Kingdom of God was near. He recognized Jesus as the Lamb of God.
What will you do this Advent to prepare your heart for Je-sus? Make
a good confession to start. Re-member the words of St. John the
Baptist: "He must increase, but I must decrease."

INICIO DEL PROGRAMA DE PREPARACIÓN AL MATRIMONIO:
Las Parejas que estén interesadas en recibir el Sacramento del
matri-monio se les avisa que el programa de preparación dará inicio
el 15 de enero 2021.Este programa consta de 10 clases (los dias
viernes en la cafeteria de la escuela), más un dia de retiro
es-piritual que se lleva a cabo en dia sábado.Para inscribirse,
