If your child is part of the ‘Me too’ project please mention this when booking onto activities as their place may be subsidised. Activity providers do not take responsibility for personal belongings. All people taking part in activities are expected to show care, consideration and courtesy to each other and staff at all times. Certain age restrictions apply to some activities. Please check before booking. Children under eight must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Family learning activities – free of charge, with no material costs. Adults and children learn together, and children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. It is recommended that you bring liquid refreshments for all activities. <Cluster> extended services Activities in this leaflet are organised by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s early years and extended services team in conjunction with <insert partner details>. This leaflet details activities available in the <cluster> school’s area. Prices are set at the lowest possible rate to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to take part. If you have any comments, compliments or complaints about this services you can contact us on (01482) 393939. Extra support for disabled children If extra support will be needed for your child to join in activities please let us know at time of booking. A co-ordinator will then contact you about your child’s needs to arrange the additional support. Requests for support must be made at least four working days in advance of the activity. The activities advertised in this brochure are not all run by the local authority and schools. It is therefore your right and responsibility as a parent to check how well a club or activity is run. You should also ensure that the activity is suitable for your child. Remember, a well run club or activity will welcome questions from parents. If you have concerns, find someone at the club or activity you can talk to. If your concern is about the person in charge, find out who their manager is and speak to them. If you have any concerns about the safety of a child or young person please contact the East Riding Golden Number on (01482) 395500. There is also safeguarding children advice available from the East Riding Safeguarding Children Board at www.erscb.org.uk. Summary checklist for holiday activities: I know who is in charge.
