Epworth’s Richmond campus provides a comprehensive Cardiac Care service of international repute. The service issupportedbyanemergencyDepartment,67monitoredcardiacbeds,a15-bedIntensivecareunit,4cardiaccatheterisationLaboratories,adedicatedcardiothoracicoperatingTheatreandanon-Invasivecardiacunit(nIcu)fordiagnostictesting.Thecardiacunitsaresupported by full-time cardiology fellows, in addition to private consultant cover.

Non-Invasive Cardiac UnitThenon-Invasivecardiacunitperformscardiacdiagnostic testing for adult and paediatric patients. Tests performed include:

• ambulatoryholtermonitoring• echocardiography• exercisestresstesting• Stressechocardiography(exercise&pharmacological)• Tilttabletesting• Transoesophagealechocardiography(Toe)

All tests can be ordered by a general practitioner.

Quality Cardiology is a cardiology group providing patients with high quality cardiac diagnostic services and comprehensive heart care including exercise stress echocardiogram, transthoracic echocardiogram, exercise stress ECG, 24 hours ECG (Holter) monitor and cardiology consultation.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program (inpatient and outpatient) is designed to maximise health through exercise, education and support.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program aims to:

Hand TherapyHand Therapy for the rehabilitation of conditions affecting the hand and upper limb is available for both inpatients and outpatients. Therapy includes the assessment and treatment of non-surgical and surgical conditions.

Following a detailed assessment treatment may include condition specific exercises, oedema management, desensitisation and sensory re-education for nerve injuries, custom splinting, education regarding adaptive techniques and/or provision of adaptive equipment and return to work.

High Level Mobility Running GroupThe Physiotherapy Department at Epworth Rehabilitation Richmond conducts a Running Group for patients with high-level mobility problems.
