National Agro Foundation (NAF) was set up as a Public Charitable Trust in 2000 by Late Mr. C Subramaniam (Freedom Fighter, Architect of India’s Green Revolution and Bharat Ratna Awardee, U Thant Prize Winner) to usher in Rural Revolution with prime focus on Agriculture.
Dr A P J Abdul Kalam succeeded Mr. Subramaniam as the Chairman of NAF Governing Council. Dr. R K Pachauri, Chairman- The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is heading the NAF Governing Council currently.
Vision : To create a “Healthy, Literate and Prosperous Rural India”.
Mission: Creating replicable models of prosperous rural clusters through
ecologically safe, environmentally sustainable farm and non farm
sector activities, natural resource management, rural enterprises and
human resource development by networking various stakeholders through
mutually beneficial partnerships
