At UN, Bennett hints at action on Iran: ‘Words don’t stop centrifuges spinning’ In first address to General Assembly, PM says Israel ‘pioneered’ COVID booster shots, hails his government as model

for ‘debate without hate’; no mention of Palestinians

Nations General Assembly, September 27, 2021, at UN headquarters in

New York. (John Minchillo/Pool/AFP)

NEW YORK — Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Monday warned the United Nations General Assembly that Iran’s nuclear weapon program is at a “critical point,” while touting an approach to the COVID-19 pandemic that does not rely on lockdown measures.

In his first addressed to the annual forum, Bennett focused heavily on Iran, stressing Tehran’s funding of proxies like Hezbollah, Shia militias, Islamic Jihad

and Hamas.

“Iran seeks to dominate the region — and seeks to do so under a nuclear umbrella,” Bennett said. “For

the past three decades Iran has spread its carnage and destruction around the Middle East, country after country: Lebanon.

Iraq. Syria. Yemen. And Gaza.”

Bennett compared what he called Iran’s “Mullah-touch” to the Midas touch of Greek mythology:

“Every place Iran touches — fails.”

He emphasized Iranian UAV attacks on civilian shipping, Saudi and US targets, before turning to new

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his human rights record.

“In 1988, Iran set up a death commission that ordered the mass murder of 5,000 political activists,”

the premier said. “They were hanged from cranes.”

“This death commission was made up of four people. Ebrahim Raisi, Iran’s new president, was one of them.”

“One of the witnesses of this massacre,” Bennett continued, “stated in her testimony, that when Raisi would finish a round of murder, he’d throw a party, pocketing the money of those he just executed… and then would sit down to eat cream cakes.”

Bennett then argued that Iran is violating agreements with the UN’s nuclear watchdog “and it’s getting away with it.”

“They harass inspectors and sabotage their investigations — and they’re getting away with it,” he declared.

“They enrich uranium to the level of 60 percent, which is one step short

of weapons-grade material — and they’re getting away with it.”

“Iran’s nuclear program has hit a watershed moment and so has our tolerance. Words do not stop centrifuges from

spinning,” he said, hinting Israel could act against Iran’s nuclear program.

“We will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon,” he added.

“If we put our heads to it, if we’re serious about stopping it, if we use all our resourcefulness, we can prevail,” he said,

signaling that Israel wants a joint response with other countries and the international community.

COVID response ‘not only about health’

Turning to the coronavirus pandemic, Bennett pushed back against relying on restrictive measures.

“Lockdowns, restrictions, quarantines — cannot work in the long run,” Bennett said.

“Running a country during a pandemic is not only about health. It’s about carefully balancing all aspects of life that are affected by corona, especially jobs and education.”

Bennett presented his guiding principles for defeating the virus — the country must stay open, vaccinate early, adapt

and move quickly.

“We pioneered the booster shot,” he said.

The prime minister argued that there are two plagues “challenging the very fabric of society today, COVID-19 and political polarization.

“Both can erode public trust, and both can paralyze nations,” he said. “If left unchecked, their effects on society can

be devastating.”

Page 3: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

Israel, said the premier, faced them both, took action, and “can already see the horizon.”

He said that after four elections in two years, Israelis yearned for stability and political normalcy.

Bennett claimed that his ideologically unwieldy government, the “most diverse” in the country’s history, is an

antidote to political polarization.

“We speak to each other with respect, we act with decency, and we carry a message: Things can be different,” he said.

The ‘lighthouse’

The prime minister’s speech opened and closed with the theme that Israel is a “lighthouse in a stormy sea.”

Bennett called Israel “a beacon of democracy, diverse by design, innovative by nature, and eager to contribute to the

world — despite being in the toughest neighborhood on earth.”

Bennett did not mention the Palestinians, nor did he bring up climate change, an issue many other world leaders

focused on.

In the speech, he also highlighted Israel’s treaties with Egypt and Jordan, and the 2020 Abraham

Accords with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco.

“Alongside our old friends, we are gaining new friends — in the Middle East and beyond,” he said.

Bennett alluded to the 38 countries that boycotted “the racist, anti-Semitic, Durban conference.”

“It’s a choice between darkness and light,” Bennett concluded. “A bit of light dispels much darkness.”

“The lighthouse among the stormy seas — stands tall, stands strong, and her light shines brighter than ever.”

Large explosives cache belonging to Hamas cell said found in West Bank town A night after 3 gunmen were killed, Israeli troops again operate in Bidu using new intel gained from arrested

operatives suspected of planning terror attacks

Israeli security forces early Monday carried out further operations in the West Bank to disrupt alleged plans for major terror attacks, using new intel gained following the arrest of some 20 suspected members of a Hamas cell.

It was the second straight night Israeli troops operated in the town of Bidu, near Jerusalem. Three

Hamas gunmen were killed in a shootout with soldiers the night

before.

In the latest raids, forces found a significant cache of explosive devices intended to be used in a terror attack in the capital in the coming days, according to television reports Monday.

The “kilograms of explosives” were hidden in a well whose exact whereabouts were determined after the Shin Bet internal security service interrogated the cell’s mastermind and other members, the reports

said.

A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces declined The Times of Israel’s request for further information, citing the

ongoing investigation.

Clashes were reported between Palestinians and Israeli troops during the operation in Bidu. There

were no reports of injuries.

— AlQastal القسطل (@AlQastalps) September 26, 2021 According to the IDF’s initial investigation, as troops approached the house in which the suspect

was hiding, the Hamas operative opened fire at them from close range from the yard of the home.

Two IDF soldiers — a company commander and his radioman — were injured.

The wounded suspect was taken into custody.

The military said at least seven suspected members of the Hamas cell were arrested during arrest raids overnight Saturday, and at least five other suspected terrorists were killed after they opened fire at IDF troops. Five guns were also confiscated in the raids, along

with large amounts of ammunition. Several other members of the group had been

arrested on the preceding nights.

It is estimated that the West Bank operations to dismantle the terror network will

continue in the coming days, as the IDF believes some members are still on the

loose.

Officials said the cell had planned an immediate major terror attack.

“It is important for you to know that if we had not stopped this network of the

Hamas terror organization, they would have been at an advanced stage and would

have carried out attacks in Israeli cities,” IDF chief Aviv Kohavi said Monday.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said Sunday that “security forces acted tonight in

Judea and Samaria against Hamas terrorists who were poised to carry out terror

attacks in the immediate future,” using the biblical term for the West Bank.

Arab Israeli shot to death in northern town; another seriously hurt Shooting victim identified as 32-year-old Iyad Dabdoub from Jadeidi-Makr; over 90 killed in Arab communal violence

since start of the year

By Emanuel Fabian Today, 11:50 pm

An Arab Israeli man was killed and another seriously wounded in a shooting in northern Israel on Monday evening, with violent crime in the country’s Arab community showing no sign of slowing.

Iyad Dabdoub, a 32-year-old from Jadeidi-Makr, was taken to Nahariya’s Galilee Medical Center in critical condition. The

hospital declared Dabdoub’s death shortly after he was admitted.

The other man, in his 20s and also a resident of the northern Arab town, was listed in serious condition at the

hospital.

Dabdoub was suspected of threatening members of the Jadeidi-Makr local council in recent months,

according to the Kan public broadcaster.

Police suspect the killing was related to a conflict between criminals, the network added.

Police said they had begun investigating the incident and were searching for the perpetrators.

Violent crime has risen to record levels in Arab communities in recent years, with 78 Arab Israeli citizens killed in apparent homicides since 2021 began, before the Jadeidi-Makr shooting, according to a

tally by the Abraham Initiatives nonprofit. Another 15 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli territory.

Page 5: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

Last year, 96 Arab Israelis were killed in communal violence.

Authorities have vowed to devote more resources to battling crime in Arab locales, after a series of recent shootings

triggered the online #Arab_Lives_Matter campaign to protest the alleged lack of police action.

Dozens gathered on Saturday to protests against the continuing violence, near the home of Public Security Minister Omer Barlev in Kochav Ya’ir. According to a 2020 Knesset report, some 400,000 illegal weapons are circulating in Israel, the vast majority in Arab

communities.

In July, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that violence and crime in Arab Israeli communities was a “national

calamity,” as he met with senior government and police officials to formulate a national plan to tackle the issue. https://www.timesofisrael.com/arab-israeli-shot-to-death-in-northern-town-another-seriously-hurt/

Bennett jabs at experts over COVID approach: ‘They don’t see the full picture’ PM asserts health officials ‘stuttered’ when questioned why concert should be prevented, amid reported

disagreements over further restrictions

By Lazar Berman and TOI staff Today, 9:31 pmUpdated at 9:49 pm

NEW YORK — Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Monday took a swipe at health officials advising the government on its coronavirus approach, amid reported disagreements over whether to impose further restrictions.

“With all due respect to the cabinet of medical experts,” he said during a briefing with Israeli journalists while in New York for the UN General Assembly, “they don’t see the full picture.”

“Some of them objected to the booster at the moment of truth. I don’t accept the ‘who cares’ response regarding

money and income. The medical experts are an important [source of] input but not exclusive,” he said.

Bennett added: “They don’t make national decisions, we do,”

The premier also suggested health officials did not have sufficient answers when questioned on their policy recommendations. “When I asked them why we need to shut down a Shlomo Artzi performance because

of this or that community, they stuttered,” he said, referring to the popular Israeli singer.

Bennett appeared to issue softer criticism of Israeli health officials during his speech to the UN General

Assembly earlier Monday.

“Running a country during a pandemic is not only about health. It’s about carefully balancing all aspects of life that

are affected by corona, especially jobs and education,” he said. “While doctors are an important input, they cannot be the

ones running the national initiative. The only person that has a good vantage point of all considerations is the national

leader of any given country. Above all, we’re doing everything in our power to provide people with the tools needed to

protect their lives.”

Following Bennett’s remarks, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz hailed the officials advising the government. “Let it be clear — Health Ministry experts are doing devoted and excellent work… They are saving lives, every day,”

Horowitz tweeted. “Their professional recommendations are the first consideration that guides us, even if not the only

consideration.”

He also said, “It’s permitted and necessary to express any opinion on we the politicians’ conduct, even if it’s

uncomfortable for us. That’s the role of the experts.”

The comments came after a meeting of the coronavirus cabinet was called for Sunday, the first time the high-level

forum will convene in a month. The last time the cabinet met was in late August, before the school year began and ahead

of the Jewish holidays.

With recent figures on morbidity mixed, government and health officials

have appeared to feud over imposing additional coronavirus restrictions, with

Bennett reportedly deciding against further limitations on gatherings.

czar Salman Zarka, Health Ministry Director General Nachman Ash, and the

Haifa man dies after taking illegal synthetic cannabinoid drug; 3 arrested Hospital says ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ consumed by 31-year-old, who suffered major cerebral hemorrhage, likely contained rat

poison

By TOI staff Today, 10:32 pm

Police find bags of an illegal cannabis synthetic cannabinoid in the Haifa

area, September 26, 2021. (Israel Police)

A resident of Haifa was pronounced dead in a hospital Monday after consuming an illegal cannabis synthetic cannabinoid that was apparently laced with a poisonous substance.

The victim, 31, was taken to Haifa’s Rambam Medical Center over the weekend along with numerous others who took the drug cocktail, which is commonly known as “Mr. Nice Guy.”

The hospital said he suffered a major cerebral hemorrhage.

Twelve teens were hospitalized over the weekend in medical centers in the north of the country after taking the drug, which likely contained rat poison, according to Rambam.

Earlier reports suggested the synthetic psychoactive cannabinoid that once dominated Tel Aviv’s streets was suspected to have been taken with anticoagulants aimed at getting the drug around the body faster.

The teens, some of who remain in hospital, were all admitted with dizziness, vomiting and hallucinations, all known

side effects of the drug.

In response to the incident, the police and the Health Ministry opened a joint investigation and have so far arrested three men in the Haifa area suspected of distributing the drug.

A 27-year-old from Kiryat Motzkin and a 31-year-old Haifa

man were detained on Sunday over the suspicion of

distributing the drug.

And on Monday, a 23-year-old from Tirat Carmel was

arrested, with the drugs reportedly found on his person.

Following the 31-year-old’s death, the men are now

suspected of manslaughter.

In 2011, “Mr. Nice Guy” and other synthetic cannaboids, which became increasingly popular in Israel, were banned. They had previously been approved by

Palestinian Authority said to arrest main witness in trial for critic’s killing Family says Nizar Banat’s cousin, who alleges seeing Abbas’s security officers beat the PA critic to death, was

detained Monday; 14 indicted officers arraigned at Ramallah court

By Aaron Boxerman Today, 5:36 pm

Palestinian Authority security forces on Monday morning arrested the main witness in the trial of 14 PA officers for the killing of anti-PA activist Nizar Banat, his family said.

Banat was well-known for his caustic commentary on Palestinian politics on social media. In his videos, he regularly denounced PA President Mahmoud Abbas and other senior PA officials. In late June, PA officers stormed Banat’s hideout in southern Hebron before allegedly beating him to death,

according to the charges against them. Banat’s death drew international condemnation and sparked rare protests against

the PA leadership by West Bank Palestinians.

Page 7: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

Hussein Banat, Nizar’s cousin, was one of two witnesses to the night raid that left Banat dead. His testimony is central to the charges against the PA officers. A source close to Banat’s relatives told The Times of Israel that they believe the arrest is a means to pressure them into silence.

Reached by telephone, the Hebron branch of the PA security forces declined to comment. A spokesperson for the PA

security forces did not respond to several phone calls.

The Palestinian security officers accused of killing Banat were arraigned on Monday morning at a

military court in Ramallah. The trial had been delayed two weeks, after their defense attorney failed to show at the

previous hearing. He later said he had been infected with coronavirus.

A Palestinian military judge formally read out the rap sheet to the accused, who have been indicted with “fatally beating” Banat to death. The indictment sketches a chilling scene: PA officers broke into Banat’s

hideout in the dead of night, before fatally beating him to death with iron poles.

The two main witnesses — Hussein Banat and Mohammad Banat — were sleeping on mattresses on the ground next to Banat, according to the charge sheet.

“[The officers] sprayed pepper gas at [Hussein and Mohammad] and placed guns to their heads and told them not to move. At the same time, one of the officers went to [Banat’s] bed carrying an iron crowbar and began to severely beat him all over his body,” the indictment said.

“At that moment, the rest of the officers who had entered the house joined in, brutally beating him with iron crowbars,

a staff, pistol butts, their hands and feet. They dragged him from the bed on which he was sleeping onto the ground and

stripped his upper body” before continuing to beat him, military prosecutors said.

The officers were overseen by a colonel in the local branch of the PA security services, who allegedly

urged them on as they beat Banat, saying, “Keep going.” After they finished beating him, they dragged him off to the

local PA security force precinct, prosecutors said.

According to the indictment, the colonel called his superior to inform him that Banat’s condition had deteriorated. His boss ordered him to immediately take Banat to a hospital. They arrived at Hebron’s Alia Hospital

at 3:50 am, but Banat showed no signs of life, PA military prosecutors said.

officers accused of beating anti-Palestinian Authority activist Nizar

Banat to death, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. (Aaron Boxerman/The

Times of Israel)

According to Banat’s death certificate, the beating sent

him into traumatic shock. He ultimately died of acute cardiac

arrest that same morning.

In public statements following the incident, PA Prime

Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh pledged that a commission of

inquiry would prosecute those responsible to the fullest

extent of the law.

“The investigative committee that was formed will carry

out its work with full transparency in order to ascertain the

truth, and put matters in right within the framework of Palestinian law,” Shtayyeh said.

The commission eventually comprised Justice Minister Mohammad Shalaldeh and a representative from the security

forces. The Banat family and an independent human rights group were initially part of the panel but later withdrew.

No senior Palestinian intelligence officials or politicians were ultimately charged in the case.

Banat’s family has said that indicting only those who allegedly beat him to death misses the point. They have

expressed little hope that the military tribunal will bring results, with some family members calling it “a farce.”

‘Progressive influence taught Israel it needs more independence’ Erdan: “Squad” behavior in Iron Dome vote verges on antisemitism.

Page 8: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

By LAHAV HARKOV SEPTEMBER 27, 2021 23:39

NEW YORK - The lesson Prime Minister Naftali Bennett learned from the attempt by progressive Democrats to block American funding for Iron Dome missile defense batteries is that Israel needs to make sure it is not dependent on others, a diplomatic source told reporters traveling with Bennett to New York on Monday. [What a brilliant insight. Perhaps if he checked the prophets carefully he might find a number of admonitions about trusting others instead of Him. – rdb] “We have to make our economic abilities even better so that we are never dependent,” the source said. “But America was and remains our greatest partner.”

The comments came after the Democratic leadership gave in to demands from the progressive “squad” in the House of Representatives that the $1 billion in Iron Dome funding be removed from a bill that

was meant to stop a US government shutdown, because otherwise the bill would have been voted down. Two days later, a

bill that was only meant to fund the Iron Dome passed with 420 in favor, nine opposed and two present.

Israeli Ambassador to the US and UN Gilad Erdan said “the squad’s behavior proves...that they are either ignorant or

antisemitic.”

“Iron Dome saves Israeli and Palestinian lives,” Erdan said at an event with Bennett and leaders of Jewish organizations. “If Israel didn’t have Iron Dome... we may have had to respond with a ground operation, which may have ended with many more lives lost.”

“It’s one thing to criticize Israel - that is legitimate - and it is a completely different thing to oppose protection for Israel from thousands of rockets fired by a terrorist organization. That verges on

antisemitism,” he said.

Bennett said at the Jewish Federations of North America event that he was “happy with the great result” of the vote in Congress, but said that the message should not just be that Iron Dome is a defensive system. [Bennett also needs to learn that Israel can’t rely on or trust many of the liberal American Jewish people as well. – rdb]

“It’s broader than that... It’s like [US President Joe] Biden says again and again: If there weren’t an Israel, we would

have to invent one. That’s right on,” he says. “We are nine million boots on the ground fighting day in day out, making

contact with those terrorists and gaining intelligence. We’re fighting [terrorists] without asking Americans to send even

one troop, and we never will.

“We are not the problem: We are the solution, in the middle of the toughest region in the world," he said. "We’re not going anywhere; we’re here to stay. That’s why it's not only about Iron Dome. The very essence of us here means the terror is at bay."

CONTRARY TO Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Bennett does not blame former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the situation, though Netanyahu’s “partisan approach was unhelpful,” the

source said.

Bennett realizes that there are ongoing trends on the American Left that are problematic for Israel,

and even read the recent Economist cover article on “The threat from the illiberal Left.”

“If you’re in college and you hate Israel, you feel like you’re woke and you’re cool - and that’s pathetic,” the source

said. “[Bennett] came out against it, because it’s the easiest thing to do to try to clean your conscience by attacking

Israel.” [If you are in college and woke you are also probably very poorly and ill informed and not very bright no matter ‘woke’ you think you are. The curricula in most of today’s colleges are an abomination and filled with falsehoods. – rdb] The prime minister does not underestimate the influence of the “squad” even though they’re a small group, the source

said, comparing them to the influence of former MK Moshe Feiglin on the Likud.

Bennett’s “approach is bipartisan: to strengthen ties with Republicans, where they are already strong, but also with Democrats. In Zoom meetings for now – and when corona calms down, in person, as

well,” the source stated.

The idea that Israel needs to strive for greater economic independence is one that was held by Netanyahu, whose first

term included the end of economic aid from the US to Israel, though military aid has continued. More recently, Israel

under Netanyahu and the US under former President Barack Obama signed a 10-year $38b. MOU on such aid in 2016.

But in the context of the growing progressive influence in America, former Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael

Oren recently wrote an article for Tablet arguing that “the IDF is addicted to credits for shiny new American weapons.

But the strategic price may be too high.”

Page 9: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

Unidentified planes hits Iranian militias in eastern Syria Iranian-backed militia fighters patrolling the streets were put on heightened alert and ambulances were seen rushing

to the desert outskirts of the city after several explosions were heard.

By REUTERS SEPTEMBER 28, 2021 03:26

Unidentified aircraft hit a base run by Iranian-backed militias in Syria's eastern province of Deir al Zor near the Iraqi border where Tehran has in the last year expanded its military presence, residents and military sources said on Monday.

They said the strikes were south of the town of Mayadeen along the Euphrates River which has

become a major base for several Shi'ite militias, mostly from Iraq, since Islamic State militants were driven out nearly

four years ago.

Iranian-backed militia fighters patrolling the streets were put on heightened alert and ambulances were

seen rushing to the desert outskirts of the city after several explosions were heard, two residents said.

"Panicky militias were calling on pedestrians and cars to clear the city center and main streets around it," Ahmad al

Shawi, a resident told Reuters in a text message.

The militias now control the mainly Sunni tribal town, part of a growing presence across Deir al Zor province,

residents and military sources say.

The air attacks were not immediately reported on Syrian state media, which has previously denied that

thousands of Iranian-backed militia fighters are deployed across large parts of the country.

Israel, alarmed by Iran's growing regional influence and military presence in Syria, says it has carried out hundreds of

strikes in Syria to slow down Iranian entrenchment.

Over the past year, strikes by unmanned Israeli aircraft have concentrated on the border town of Albu Kamal, south

east of Mayadeen, that lies on a strategic supply route for Iranian-backed militias who regularly send reinforcements from

Iraq into Syria.

The Iranian-backed militias are also in control of large stretches of the frontier on the Iraqi side.

Western intelligence sources say Israel has expanded airstrikes on suspected arms transfers and deployments by Iranian

backed militia and their Lebanese Hezbollah allies which support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

UK Labour members approve motion accusing Israel of ‘ongoing Nakba in Palestine’ Opposition party leader Keir Starmer said set to condemn resolution okayed at annual conference that notes

‘unequivocal’ reports claiming Israel heading toward ‘crime of apartheid’

By TOI staff Today, 5:33 pm

members of the press in the media centre on the third day of the annual

Labour Party conference at The Brighton Centre in Brighton on the south

coast of England, on September 27, 2021. (JUSTIN TALLIS / AFP)

Delegates in the British Labour Party on Monday passed a resolution condemning Israel for allegedly perpetrating an “ongoing Nakba in Palestine,” drawing outcry from some party officials.

“Conference condemns the ongoing Nakba in Palestine, Israel’s militarised violence attacking the Al Aqsa mosque, the forced displacements from Sheikh Jarrah and the deadly assault on Gaza,” the motion

passed at the main opposition party’s annual conference read.

“Nakba,” which means “catastrophe” in Arabic, is used by Palestinians to denote Israel’s establishment in 1948.

The motion brought by Young Labour passed at Monday’s conference with about twice as many votes for as against,

according to the Jewish News website.

It added that “together with the de facto annexation of Palestinian land by accelerated settlement building and statements of Israel’s intention to proceed with annexation, it is ever clearer that Israel is intent

on eliminating any prospects of Palestinian self-determination.”

The delegates recognized “unequivocal” reports by the Israeli left-wing NGO B’Tselem and the New York-based Human Rights Watch that branded Israel as an “apartheid” state.

The motion also noted a Trades Union Congress in 2020 that described Israel’s West Bank policies, including

settlement building and what it charged was annexation, as “another significant step towards the UN Crime of Apartheid.”

Ahead of the vote, Steve McCabe, the chair of Labour Friends of Israel, said that the motion was “too one-sided and

not at all focused on the search for peace.” He said that it was “completely hostile to the people of Israel,” according to

The Guardian.

After the vote passed, McCabe said that “it does not represent Labour’s longstanding policy in support of a two-state

solution, backs the toxic BDS movement which singles out the world’s only Jewish state, and propagates the apartheid

smear.”

The party’s leader Keir Starmer, as well as its shadow foreign

secretary Lisa Nandy, were reportedly ready to distance themselves

from the resolution, according to Jewish News.

Palestinian Authority official Husam Zomlot praised the motion

in a Facebook post on Monday.

“This is a victory for our martyrs, our prisoners and our

wounded, the struggle of our great people, and a victory for international values and morals, the PLO’s ambassador to the

United Kingdom and a former envoy in Washington said.

Starmer, who was elected leader in April 2020, has vowed to root out antisemitism in Labour that opponents alleged

went unchecked and flourished under the previous head Jeremy Corbyn, and saw Jewish members and lawmakers leave in

droves.

Starmer ousted Corbyn as a Labour MP after he refused to accept the findings of a report by the UK’s Equality and

Human Rights Commission that said Labour, under Corbyn, had broken the law in its “inexcusable” handling of

antisemitism complaints. https://www.timesofisrael.com/uk-labour-members-ok-motion-accusing-israel-of-ongoing-

Jordan to fully reopen main crossing with Syria Although the Jaber crossing has been open since 2018 after the Syrian government drove rebels from southern Syria,

trade has yet to recover to the $1 billion pre-war level.

Jordan will fully reopen its main border crossing with Syria from Wednesday, government and industry officials said, as a high-level Syrian team arrived in Amman to discuss how to ease the flow of goods

hit by the pandemic and a decade of conflict.

Although the Jaber crossing has been open since 2018 after the Syrian government drove rebels from southern Syria, trade has yet to recover to the $1 billion pre-war level.

They said a visiting trade delegation from Syria, led by

economy, trade, agriculture, water and electricity ministers,

would also discuss lifting tariff barriers.

"We hope the moves will restore previous trade dealings

before the conflict and revive lucrative transit trade," Jamal al

Rifae, deputy head of Jordan's chamber of commerce, told

Reuters.

Interior Minister Mazen Faraya said restrictions on Syrian transit cargo to Gulf markets and Iraq through Jordan will also be lifted, which Damascus has been pushing for.

Transit cargo from the Gulf will also be allowed from Jordan to Syria along with unrestricted passenger traffic, Faraya told Jordan's Al-Mamlaka public broadcaster.

Before the conflict in Syria, the Nasib-Jaber crossing was a transit route for hundreds of trucks a day transporting goods between Europe and Turkey and the Gulf.

Jordanian businessmen had largely shunned dealing with Syria after the 2019 Caesar Act - the toughest US sanctions

yet that prohibited foreign companies trading with Damascus.

Hit by economic slowdown caused in part by the pandemic, Jordanian businessmen have lobbied the government to

ask Washington to ease restrictions on items it needs approval to import from Syria, where traders have long had close

partnerships.

Israel’s relations with Germany to remain strong after Merkel Although the two largest parties in the Bundestag maintain an amicable bond with the Jewish state, Jerusalem may

have to work harder on ties if the center-left SPD and Greens lead the new coalition

Daniel Sonnenfeld/The Media Line | Published: 09.27.21, 20:32

After 16 years with Angela Merkel at the helm, Germany went to elections on Sunday to choose a new government and also, a new chancellor. Preliminary results show that the country’s center-left party, the Social Democrats (SPD), has won 25.7% of the votes, overcoming the ruling Christian Democrats (CDU), which received 24.1%, by a narrow margin.

The third-largest party, the Greens, achieved a record 14.8%, and the liberal Free Democratic Party (FDP) entered the German parliament with 11.5% support.

left SPD party which won the most votes in the German federal election

To enter the Bundestag lower house of parliament, a party must secure at least 5% of the national vote.

While the preliminary official results are in, a German government may still be months away, with both the CDU and the SPD to enter into tough negotiations with the smaller parties in an attempt to form a coalition. All options appear on

the table, including the continued rule of the CDU.

However, whether the biggest winner of the elections, the SPD, manages to replace the conservative CDU or not will

not change the fact that a new day is dawning on Germany with Merkel stepping down.

During Merkel’s long tenure, Israel and Germany have not always seen eye to eye, particularly

regarding issues connected to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Despite this, the chancellor’s Germany was a central and

Page 12: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

stable ally to Israel on the European continent. Will the new government bring change to the country’s relations with the

Jewish state?

Shimon Stein, a senior research fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University and a former Israeli ambassador to Berlin, expects no major change in the relations between the countries.

“I think that generally … if [SPD leader Olaf] Scholz forms the next government, things will largely continue as they

are,” Stein told The Media Line. A change could arise if the Greens are part of the coalition, he explained, as they are

more critical of Israel’s policies in the West Bank. The SPD also has within it elements more critical of Israel. It should be

noted that most coalitions currently on the table include the Greens.

“The entire issue of arms exports [to Israel] could also become slightly more problematic,” Stein

said, “but speaking generally, no significant changes are expected.”

Members of both the SPD and the Greens have in the past expressed reservations regarding German weapons sales to Israel. Notably, German shipyards have equipped Israel with highly advanced

submarines and large navy ships intended in part to protect the country’s gas reservoirs in the Mediterranean.

election exit polls (Photo: Gettyimages)

Dr. Maya Sion-Tzidkiyahu, director of the Program on Israel-Europe Relations at Mitvim — The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies, and a professor at the Hebrew University’s European Forum, agrees that no major change is to be expected.

A dramatic change in relations “certainly not, but maybe a

nuanced one — it is possible that Israel will have to put more

effort” into the ties between the countries if the CDU is replaced

Sion-Tzidkiyahu told The Media Line.

She explains that the party has always had warmer relations

with Israel. “The CDU, the Christian Democrats under Merkel,

expressly committed in their coalition agreement, their governmental agreement [in 2008], to Israel, to its security,” she

said.

In the eventuality of a government with SPD at its head, Israel will be looking to see if the center-left party — which was part of the government when the aforementioned agreement was reached — will again express Germany’s alliance with Israel in such terms.

Ashkenazi visit a Petah Tikva home hit by a Gaza rocket during the most

recent conflict with Palestinian terrorist factions, May 20, 2021

(Photo: AFP)

Sion-Tzidkiyahu suggests that Israel’s current government, which includes right-wing, left-wing and Arab parties, and is trying to forge closer ties with the EU and its member states, may also smooth the transition if Germany’s new government indeed leans more to the left.

Of significant importance is which party receives the

position of foreign minister in the coalitional negotiations.

Heiko Maas of the SPD, the country’s current foreign

minister, has “very special relations” with Israel, Sion-

Tzidkiyahu said. During the recent hostilities with Gaza, Maas arrived in Israel with several other European foreign

ministers in a notable show of solidarity with the country, which was facing heavy rocket fire from the Strip.

A minister from the Greens or the SPD does not necessarily mean colder relations. Much would depend on the

minister’s personality and personal connection to Israel. https://www.ynetnews.com/magazine/article/bjzoooyvt

Prague announces it struck $630 million deal with Jerusalem to buy short- and medium-range air defense system

meant to replace Soviet-made technology from the 1970s

Reuters | Published: 09.27.21, 23:29

The Czech Republic will purchase a short- and medium-range air defense system made by Israeli state-owned supplier Rafael, the country's defense ministry said on Monday.

The ministry said it had informed the cabinet it would conclude a government-to-government deal to buy Rafael's

SPYDER Short Range Air Defense/Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (SHORAD/MRSAM).

Air Missile (Photo: Rafael Advanced Defense Systems)

It said it would pay 13.69 billion crowns ($631.81 million) for the system, which will replace Soviet-made technology from the 1970s.

The government has been raising defense spending to modernize its armed forces but has admitted it would fall short of its pledge as a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to spend 2% of its gross domestic product on defense by 2024.

The ministry said last year when it opened talks on the

Rafael deal that it planned to buy four batteries, each including its own radar, command and control unit.

The system — used to protect cities, nuclear power plants and

other potential targets — will be supplied by 2026, it said.

This is the latest in a series of arms deals between Israel and

Eastern European nations after Slovakia agreed in April to

purchase 17 Israeli-made radar systems for NIS 500 million

($155 million) as part of a defense export agreement with

Jerusalem.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz then said the move was

"evidence of the deepening cooperation with NATO countries."

'Crimes against humanity': Thousands of physicians condemn COVID

policymakers Declaration issued after global summit of health experts in Rome

By Art Moore Published September 27, 2021 at 7:03pm

More than 4,000 scientists and physicians from around the world have signed a declaration condemning public policy makers of "crimes against humanity" for restricting life-saving treatments and quashing debate and scientific inquiry. The "Physicians Declaration" was issued in Rome earlier this month at the International COVID Summit, reported Debra Heine for American Greatness The health-care professionals lamented that a "one size fits all" approach to mitigation and treatment have resulted in "needless illness and death."

Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of the mRNA vaccine technology in the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, read the declaration at the Rome conference. He contends the COVID vaccines should not be administered universally but should target the most vulnerable, because the shots pose both known and

unknown risks for the healthy that outweigh potential benefits.

The declaration begins by stating that "[t]housands have died from Covid as a result of being denied life-saving early treatment."

Page 14: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

"The Declaration is a battle cry from physicians who are daily fighting for the right to treat their patients, and the right of patients to receive those treatments – without fear of interference, retribution or censorship by

government, pharmacies, pharmaceutical corporations, and big tech."

The health professionals demand that "these groups step aside and honor the sanctity and integrity of the patient-

physician relationship, the fundamental maxim 'First Do No Harm,' and the freedom of patients and physicians to make

informed medical decisions."

"Lives depend on it," they assert.

They call for the restoration of the physician-patient relationship.

"The very heart of medicine is this relationship, which allows physicians to best understand their patients and their

illnesses, to formulate treatments that give the best chance for success, while the patient is an active participant in their

care," they state.

The signatories "invite the scientists of the world, who are skilled in biomedical research and uphold the highest ethical and moral standards, to insist on their ability to conduct and publish objective, empirical research without fear of reprisal upon their careers, reputations and livelihoods."

They also "invite patients, who believe in the importance of the physician-patient relationship and the ability to be

active participants in their care, to demand access to science-based medical care."

Top doc: Pull COVID-19 vaccines off the market now Dr. Peter McCullough presents evidence behind his controversial stance

By WND Staff Published September 27, 2021 at 7:36pm

Dr. Peter McCullough, who has become a leading critic of the experimental COVID-19 vaccines, explained in a thorough, nearly 90-minute presentation why he believes the vaccines should be pulled from the market.

As both a researcher and a practicing physician, McCullough has come to the conclusion that most deaths attributed to COVID-19 could be prevented with early treatments that have been suppressed by policymakers.

In a slide for his Aug. 20 presentation – which can be viewed below – he argued the "COVID-19 genetic vaccines

have an unfavorable safety profile and are not clinically effective, thus they cannot be generally supported in clinical

practice at this time."

McCullough, the editor-in-chief of two medical journals, is a practicing internist, cardiologist, epidemiologist and

professor of medicine at the Baylor University School of Medicine in Dallas.

He has 600 peer-reviewed publications to his name. Many have appeared in top-tier journals such as

the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association and The Lancet. He is the president

of the Cardiorenal Society of America, the co-editor of Reviews in Cardiovascular Medicine and associate editor of the

American Journal of Cardiology and Cardiorenal Medicine. He has led monitoring safety boards in major drug trials.

In May, he explained why he thinks the vaccines are too risky, particularly taking into account the fact that most

people have a 99% survival rate.

He testified to the U.S. Senate last November against what he described as the federal government's politicization of

health care during the pandemic, curbing or blocking the availability of cheap, effective treatments for COVID-19 such as

hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin.

Army doctor's brave indictment of forcing vaccines on healthy soldiers Exclusive: Joel S. Hirschhorn spotlights lieutenant colonel's bold report that jeopardizes her career

By Joel S. Hirschhorn Published September 27, 2021 at 7:34pm

This column celebrates the amazing bravery of a physician and senior military officer attacking the evil stupidity and anti-science character of the public health establishment – standing up to the coercive mandates to force COVID vaccine shots for large segments of the population that have far more risks than benefits from them, notably children, those with natural immunity and healthy, young military personnel. This hero needs massive public support. She should become a shining example for all physicians to

fight for both medical freedom and genuine science.

Page 15: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

In this pandemic where truths are crowded out by propaganda and political insanity, it is critically

important to credit a truly remarkable document by a courageous medical professional.

Here are highlights from such a document, well worth the attention of all those who genuinely have informed

concerns about current COVID vaccines.

Physician and Army Lt. Col. Theresa Long is a rare courageous truth-teller willing to jeopardize a military career for the greater good and to try and steer the Department of Defense to policies that protect

military personnel from dangerous and unnecessary COVID vaccines and defend our national defense.

Here is an initial observation: "Use of mRNA vaccines in our fighting force presents a risk of undetermined magnitude, in a population in which less than 20 active-duty personnel out of 1.4 million died of the underlying SARs- CoV-2." Statistical truths are routinely ignored by government officials

mismanaging the pandemic.

Dr. Long focused on a now widely recognized health impact of current COVID vaccines, saying, "Vaccination with mRNA increases the risk of myocarditis."

She explains: "Research shows that most individuals with myocarditis do not have any symptoms.

Complications of myocarditis include dilated cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, sudden cardiac death and carries a mortality

rate of 20% at one year and 50% at five years. According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, U.S.

National Library of Medicine, 'despite optimal medical management, overall mortality has not changed in the last 30

years.'

"We must establish a screening program to identify those at increased risk of myocarditis, i.e., those

that have, received mRNA vaccinations with [Pfizer] or Moderna, or have any of the following symptoms: chest pain,

shortness of breath or palpitations."

With regard to the Pfizer vaccine, "One of the primary ingredients of the Lipid Nanoparticle delivery system is ALC 1035." This is a toxic material. It "comprises between 30-50% of the total ingredients." Among a

number of serious possible effects is this reality: "Caution: Product has not been fully validated for medical applications.

For research use only." Also noted: "Other journals and scientific papers also denote that this particular ingredient has

never been used in humans before." The lieutenant colonel correctly notes, "My assessment is that ALC 1035 is a known

toxin with little study, specifically restricted to 'research only' and effectively has no prior [medical] use history."

Another ingredient in the vaccine is a known toxic chemical: "Polyethylene Glycol is the active

ingredient in antifreeze." There have been countless cases where people have been fatally poisoned with this chemical.

This comment by Dr. Long is especially impressive: "I cannot discern what form of alchemy Pfizer and the FDA have

discovered that would make antifreeze into a healthful cure to the human body."

Another important point is that "Moderna's key ingredient, SM-102 … is significantly more dangerous than the Pfizer ALC 1035." Noted is that "this Moderna ingredient is deadly."

Continued Long: "I have also reviewed scientific data and peer reviewed studies that discuss, analyze results and

conclude that natural immunity is at least as good if not far superior to any COVID vaccine available at this time." Exactly

correct. Noted is that "natural immunity provides a 13-fold better protection against COVID-19 infections

than any currently available COVID-19 vaccine." The Army doctor points out the Department of Defense's disinterest in

recognizing "a military member's prior [natural] immunity to COVID-19; even where it may be demonstrated with a

recent antibody test."

Here is a detailed telling by the Lt. Col. Long of recent empirical evidence she is personally informed about regarding

the real health impacts of COVID vaccines on military people. It is truly worth reading:

"I personally observed the most physically fit female soldier I have seen in over 20 years in the Army, go from collegiate level athlete training for Ranger School, to being physically debilitated with cardiac problems, newly diagnosed pituitary brain tumor, [and] thyroid dysfunction within weeks of getting

vaccinated. Several military physicians have shared with me their firsthand experience with a significant increase in the

number of young Soldiers with migraines, menstrual irregularities, cancer, suspected myocarditis and reporting cardiac

symptoms after vaccination. Numerous Soldiers and DOD civilians have told me of how they were sick, bed-ridden,

debilitated, and unable to work for days to weeks after vaccination. I have also recently reviewed three flight crew

members' medical records, all of which presented with both significant and aggressive systemic health issues.

"Today I received word of one fatality and two ICU cases on Fort Hood; the deceased was an Army pilot

who could have been flying at the time. All three pulmonary embolism events happened within 48 hours of their

vaccination. I cannot attribute this result to anything other than the COVID-19 vaccines as the source of these events.

Each person was in top physical condition before the inoculation, and each suffered the event within two days post

vaccination. Correlation by itself does not equal causation, however, significant causal patterns do exist that raise

Page 16: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

correlation into a probable cause; and the burden to prove otherwise falls on the authorities such as the CDC, FDA, and

pharmaceutical manufacturers. I find the illnesses, injuries and fatalities observed to be the proximate and causal effect of

the COVID-19 vaccinations."

If only more physicians would have the good sense to make that last medically smart comment.

This statement is also important: "I can report of knowing over 15 military physicians and health care providers who have shared experiences of having their safety concerns ignored and being ostracized for expressing or reporting safety concerns as they relate to COVID vaccinations."

And here are several correct observations on harmful vaccine impacts: "None of the ordered Emergency Use COVID-

19 vaccines can or will provide better immunity than an infection-recovered person [with natural immunity]. All [current]

vaccines in the age group and fitness level of my patients are more risky, harmful and dangerous than having no vaccine

at all, whether a person is COVID recovered or facing a COVID-19 infection.

"Direct evidence exists and suggests that all persons who have received a COVID-19 vaccine are damaged in their

cardiovascular system in an irreparable and irrevocable manner. Due to the spike protein production that is engineered

into the user's genome, each such recipient of the COVID-19 vaccines already has micro clots in their cardiovascular

system that present a danger to their health and safety. … Such micro clots over time will become bigger clots by the very

nature of the shape and composition of the spike proteins being produced, and said proteins are found throughout the

user's body, including the brain." See this detailed account of vaccine induced blood problems.

As to the vaccine dangers for the military personnel for whom Dr. Long is responsible: "Flight crews present

extraordinary risks to themselves and others given the equipment they operate, munitions carried thereon and areas of

operation in close proximity to populated areas."

And most importantly: "I hereby recommend to the Secretary of Defense that all pilots, crew and flight personnel in

the military service who required hospitalization from injection or received any COVID-19 vaccination be grounded

similarly for further dispositive assessment."

The lieutenant colonel, like some other brave and honest medical professionals, also stressed this: "We must evaluate

and immediately implement alternatives to mRNA vaccines, to include Ivermectin (FDA approved 1996) … and

Hydroxychloroquine (FDA approved 1955)."

To sum up, we have a highly educated and credentialed senior military officer stepping up to tell those above her and

the public about the major risks of COVID vaccines for military personnel. This physician strongly needs public support

in the fight for pandemic truths. What she has concluded is just as important for the public as for military leadership and

personnel. She has revealed the evil idiocy of the current public health establishment mindlessly pushing COVID vaccines

for everyone. https://www.wnd.com/2021/09/army-doctors-brave-indictment-forcing-vaccines-healthy-soldiers/ [Thank heavens there is an ever growing group willing to put it on the line that this JAB is a hazard to humanity. – rdb]

Pyongyang launches ‘unidentified projectile’ just as North Korean ambassador takes UN

stage – reports 27 Sep, 2021 22:32 / Updated 1 hour ago

Get short URL

North Korea has fired an unidentified munition off its east coast, according to Japanese and South Korean military sources cited in local media, just as Pyongyang’s envoy took the stage to address the United Nations in New York.

The Japanese government announced a “possible ballistic missile” launch from North Korea on Tuesday, according to sources cited by Kyodo News and NHK, while South Korea’s Yonhap News noted that Pyongyang fired at least one “unidentified” projectile into the East Sea, citing the South Korean Joint

Chiefs of Staff, though provided few other details on the purported launch.

Reports of the apparent test fire made the rounds just as North Korea’s UN ambassador, Kim Song,

delivered a speech before the General Assembly in New York City, where he repeatedly condemned what he called

a “hostile policy” toward Pyongyang from the United States and allied nations, including the stationing of thousands of

American troops in the south.

“The US’ hostile policy against the DPRK finds its clearest expression in its military threats against us,” he said,

using the acronym for the formal name of his country, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Page 17: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

Not a single foreign troop, not a single foreign military base exists in the territory of the DPRK. But, in South

Korea, almost 30,000 US troops are stationed at numerous military bases, maintaining a war posture to take military

action against the DPRK at any moment.

While Kim noted that North Korea has never conducted a single military exercise near US territory, Washington has regularly staged “military demonstrations of intimidating nature” on the Korean peninsula and in Korean waters in conjunction with the government in Seoul over the last several decades.

The envoy also stated that while many fellow UN member states believe the antagonism with the United States stems

solely from North Korea’s possession of nuclear weapons, he argued that is not the case, as the hostile policies began long

before it developed its home-grown nuclear arsenal.

“From the very first day of the foundation of the DPRK, the US has not recognized our sovereignty, treating us as an

enemy state and openly showing its hostility toward the socialist system chosen by our people,” Kim said.

The US, the biggest nuclear power in the world, has been posing a nuclear threat and antagonizing the DPRK for more than 70 years. The US hostile policy toward the DPRK is not at all abstract. [We face] military

threats and hostile acts from the US every day.

If confirmed, the latest reported missile launch could mark Pyongyang’s sixth major weapons test conducted so far in 2021, according to Yonhap. Earlier this month, North Korean state media reported a

successful launch of a new, rail-borne munition, which followed another series of tests in the weeks prior, one reportedly

involving a newly developed long-range cruise missile. Such tests are routinely denounced by Washington, which itself

regularly conducts large-scale war games with Seoul. In line with Kim’s comments before the UN, Pyongyang has

repeatedly condemned the drills as provocative and inherently threatening, saying they effectively simulate an invasion of

the north. Though former US President Donald Trump briefly negotiated a ‘freeze-for-freeze’ deal, agreeing to halt the

drills in exchange for a pause on Pyongyang’s weapons tests, the pact quickly fell through, seeing the drills and tests

resume. https://www.rt.com/news/535983-north-korea-missile-un-ambassador/

The Death of Freedom in America By Guest Writer|September 27th, 2021 By Paul Engel

Ronald Reagan warned us that unless we fight for liberty, we would one day have to explain it to our children.

Today, we have to explain to the younger generations what is was like when freedom of religion, freedom of speech,

freedom of press, even to be secure from unreasonable searches and seizures were cherished in America.

So will the American people fight for their liberty, or will we sit by and watch it be destroyed?

. . . freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the

bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it, protect it, defend it and then

hand it to them with the well thought lessons of how they in their lifetime must do the same. And if you and I don’t do

this, then you and I may well spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it once was like

in America when men were free.

Ronald Reagan “A Time for Choosing” Speech

Ronald Reagan’s words have come true. We now live in a country where we have to explain to the rising generations

what it was like to live in America where people were free. While this day has been coming for decades, recent events

show us the real level of rot and decay when it comes to your rights and liberty. No longer must those of us who cherish

our freedom and liberty concern ourselves solely with the acts of government. Today businesses, society, and even our

neighbors, are out to crush the last vestiges of the rights and liberty we enjoy. It’s not that we weren’t warned this day

would come, but like in so many other situations, we never thought it would happen in our lifetimes.

Some of you may think I’m being hyperbolic when I claim that the day Ronald Reagan warned us about has come or

that so many are out to destroy our rights. As the drafters of the Declaration of Independence said: “To prove this, let

Facts be submitted to a candid world.”

Usurpations

As I said, this has been going on for decades. While there are plenty of clauses in the Constitution we’ve allowed to

be violated, there are two at the heart of the problem.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties

made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the

Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary

notwithstanding.

U.S. Constitution, Article VI, Clause 2

Page 18: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

The first is called the Supremacy Clause. Like much of the Constitution, its language is quite clear: The Constitution

of the United States is the supreme law of the land. Only laws of the United States made pursuant to the Constitution or

treaties made under the authority of the United States, which comes from the Constitution, are considered supreme. This

clause means if Congress passes a law that is not pursuant to the Constitution or if the President and the Senate enter a

treaty that is not within the powers of the United States, then that action is not supreme. In fact, that action is void.

It is a proposition too plain to be contested that the Constitution controls any legislative act repugnant to it, or that

the Legislature may alter the Constitution by an ordinary act.

Between these alternatives there is no middle ground. The Constitution is either a superior, paramount law,

unchangeable by ordinary means, or it is on a level with ordinary legislative acts, and, like other acts, is alterable when

the legislature shall please to alter it.

Certainly all those who have framed written Constitutions contemplate them as forming the fundamental and

paramount law of the nation, and consequently the theory of every such government must be that an act of the Legislature

repugnant to the Constitution is void.

Marbury v. Madison Opinion

If an act of the legislature, or for that matter of the President or the courts, is repugnant to the Constitution is void,

how were or how have they been allowed to be enforced? Simple. The people who should have known better didn’t stand

up to those who were breaking the law.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to

the States respectively, or to the people.

U.S. Constitution, Amendment X

We seem to forget, or perhaps most of us were never taught, that the states ratified the Constitution that created the

United States government. That means the states created the federal government, not to be its servant, but to be served by

it. It also means that when the states created the United States, they also set boundaries on it and its government. While

this was assumed by those who drafted the Constitution, it was later confirmed when the states ratified the Tenth

Amendment. So when the federal government exercises a power not delegated to it by the Constitution, it’s stealing

powers rightfully owned by the states or the people

This reminds me of a third “clause”, although this one is not from the Constitution:

[T]he constitutions of most of our states assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by

themselves, in all cases to which they think themselves competent, (as in electing their functionaries executive and

legislative, and deciding by a jury of themselves, both fact and law, in all judiciary cases in which any fact is involved) or

they may act by representatives, freely and equally chosen; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they

are entitled to freedom of person; freedom of religion; freedom of property; and freedom of the press.

From Thomas Jefferson to John Cartwright, 5 June 1824

When any government acts beyond the powers delegated to it in the Constitution that formed it, they are stealing your

powers. When any government infringes on your rights, they are stealing your rights. In short, whenever any government

acts beyond their mandate, they are usurping your powers. It seems this has been going on so long with no one standing

up to these usurpations they not only have become normal, but many Americans believe they are legal.

Legal Interference

Once the governments in America started assuming the powers to do pretty much whatever they wanted, with little

interference from the people, they started using the judicial system to reinforce those powers. If, like me, you actually read

what comes out of our judicial system, you may notice how rarely our judges actually quote the Constitution. Article VI,

Clause 3 states:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all

executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation,

to support this Constitution;

U.S. Constitution, Article VI, Clause 3

Every officer, including judges at both the state and federal level, is required to include support for the Constitution of

the United States in their oath of office. So why does the supreme law of the land appear so rarely in the opinions of these

judges? While I cannot read the mind of these judges, a quick look at what is included in their opinions should provide a

good answer.

Have you heard the terms “case law” or “constitutional law”? How about “precedent” or “stare decisis”? Do you

know what all of these terms have in common? They are “laws” created by the judiciary. Now there are plenty of good

reasons to consider the opinions of those who have gone before. However, the Constitution states that all lawmaking

power is vested not in the courts, but in Congress.

Page 19: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a

Senate and House of Representatives.

U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 1, Clause 1

Yet today, not only do the courts make law, they claim the authority to overrule the acts of the other two branches of

government. They do this first by claiming that their opinions are law, then by elevating those opinions above not only the

laws made by Congress, but above the Constitution itself. That is why the opinions of judges are all but devoid of

references to statutory law or the Constitution, while they are jam packed with references to judges opinions

euphemistically called “case law”. In effect, we no longer have checks and balances between the three branches of

governments, since one branch has assumed the incontestable power to overrule the others. And who stood up against this

usurpation of power? Did the other two branches stand up? Did the states stand up against their creation? Did the people

stand up to restore the judicial branch to its legally authorized role in government? The answer to these questions is no.

And that is another reason why the republic, and the liberty it was created to protect, is dying. No one stood up when one

branch of government usurped the powers of the others.

Then, into this crippled republic, came the chance of a lifetime for those who desire power and believe they have the

moral authority to rule over others.

Lockdowns and Shutdowns

Many people blame COVID-19 for the attacks on liberty we are experiencing, when actually, the tyranny that has run

rampant the last 18 months is the consequence of decades of unchecked government overreach. If the antipathy that the

people and the states have shown toward instances of government overreach was the explosive, then COVID-19 was the

detonator. Suddenly, millions of Americans were afraid that they might get sick and die. And who was ready to assume all

the powers necessary to “save the American people”? That’s right, those who are drawn to power, and therefore to

government. COVID was the excuse to determine what businesses could be open and who could work. And the icing on

the cake? All those unemployed people were now begging government to take care of them. “Enhanced unemployment”

benefits allowed thousands to stay home and live on the government dole. And let’s face it, who among us wouldn’t

prefer to go about our lives doing what we want while someone else picks up the bill?

There was also another beneficiary lockdowns had: Big businesses. Small businesses cannot afford to lobby

government for special dispensations. That’s why a California restaurant owner had her patio shutdown while a movie

company had their catering tent open across the street. It’s also why the Walmarts, Targets, Lowes, and other large

corporate stores were “allowed” to stay open while their competitors were “forced” to close. This led to a surge in small

business closures while large corporations survived just fine.

Mandates

Of course, lockdowns and shutdowns were just the opening salvos, because the divide between small and large

business is not just government lobbying. Large business not only have the capacity to absorb the cost of federal

regulations, but the legal staff to fight them in court. Combine this with the cozy relationship large businesses have

cultivated with government and you should recognize how these two work together, to both regulate your lives and to

suppress their competition. Business licenses, promoted as tools to keep the people “safe”, are instead more often used to

control those businesses. This was on full display with the advent of the COVID mandates.

First, governments instituted public mask mandates. Never mind that these mandates deprive you of your liberty and

the property you have in your own body, which are violations of both the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the

Constitution of the United States. Then, governments issued mask mandates for private businesses, a blatant deprivation

of the owner’s property and again without due process. Many businesses gladly joined in the deprivation of the rights of

their customers. Yes, private businesses have the right to control how people are allowed to access their property, and

many citizens willingly submitted to the whim of the store owners. What do you think happened to those few who

recognized not only the infringement on their rights, but the fact that these mandates are void? If you guessed that their

precious licenses were threatened with another deprivation of property without due process, you are correct. What did the

people do when their states started violating the very constitutions that created them? How did the people react when the

governments they formed to protect their rights instead violated them? What happened when governments exercised

unjust powers that the governed had not consented to? Most people did nothing. Even worse, many people took it upon

themselves to become the enforcer of these illegal and immoral mandates. That’s right, many people saw the opportunity

to enforce their will upon their fellow citizens and jumped at the chance.

Now we have government issued vaccine mandates. It started locally, then in some of the states. If you wish to go to a

restaurant or other public gathering, you need to show that you’ve been vaccinated. If you wanted to attend school, you

need to show you’ve been vaccinated. In many cases, both governments and businesses started requiring their employees

be vaccinated as a condition of employment. The federal government has even taken these draconian measures to the next

Page 20: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

level. Thinking of flying? The TSA wants proof you’ve been vaccinated. Working for the federal government or serving

in the military? You need to get the vaccine. Own a business with more than 100 employees? You’ll be fined if you don’t

require vaccination as a condition of employment. If you resist these enforced vaccinations, you are ostracized and in

some cases bullied, both in person and online. It seems that we must tell the rising generation what it was once like in

America, when men were free.

Conclusion

Yes, freedom is dying in America. The very idea of freedom and liberty seem to be on life-support when the

American people take the opportunity to impose their will on others; the very idea of allowing others to live as they see fit

is no longer an American value. Like a comatose patient, or maybe like Sleeping Beauty, there is a spark of life, but only

just. George Washington said:

And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are

justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.

George Washington’s First Inaugural Address, 1789

It appears that in the 21st century, our founder’s trust was misplaced. We have worked hard over the past few decades

to cut off the fuel to that sacred fire of liberty, and today it seems many are doing everything they can to put it out.

Fortunately, the embers of that fire still exists in the hearts of some Americans. I pray that for many more, the idea of

freedom and liberty has not died, but merely fallen sleep. Who will breathe on the embers of that fire? Who will awaken

the beauty of liberty in America? Who will stand their ground against those who wish to control others? Will it be you? If

so, you are not alone. There are others for whom the sacred fire of liberty burns strong in their hearts. There are still others

for whom the fire burns, but it’s being stifled by fear and doubt. Just as a kiss was able to awaken Sleeping Beauty, the

kiss of freedom can awaken the fire of liberty in the heart of others. If freedom and liberty are dying in America, it is

because We the People have stood by and let it happen. That also means that the American people can restore liberty, if

we’re willing stand and fight for it, protect it, defend it, and hand it on to our children. https://newswithviews.com/the-

Vaccine Mandates Are Their Dumbest Move Yet, But They Keep Doubling-Down Scott Morefield Posted: Sep 27, 2021 12:01 A

Nothing about our overlords’ response to the Covid-19 pandemic has made any sense, so why should we expect any

more in their approach to vaccines? Ever true to form, they have bungled and stumbled their way into not just failing to

end the pandemic, but creating historic mistrust of the medical establishment in an ever-growing segment of the

population. These geniuses have also succeeded in turning what was once a tiny faction of anti-vaxxers into what could

very well be becoming a burgeoning political movement. Nice job, pinheads.

How did something that most of the world thought would be a shining bright spot in a sea of darkness over the past

year and a half turn into - like masking - yet another highly charged political issue? It wasn’t supposed to be this way,

obviously, and it wouldn’t have been this way had the vaccines worked as advertised to us in the Spring, when people

were lining up to get the jab and Covid rates were so low the CDC was even forced to temporarily do away with masking

recommendations (but only for the vaccinated, wink wink). Sure, there were rumblings from former New York Times

reporter Alex Berenson about disturbing data from Israel, but the rest of us were all but certain the worst was behind us

and normal life was just around the corner.

Then, the freight train hit. Turns out, Berenson was right, yet again, as he has been virtually the entirety of this

pandemic. (These days Twitter doesn’t censor and ban people for being WRONG, but rather for being TOO RIGHT about

the WRONG THING.) The vaccines were leaky as a sieve, and reinfections and transmissions among the vaccinated were

increasing at an alarming rate. Almost overnight, the messaging went from vaccines preventing contraction and

transmission to keeping people out of the hospital and the morgue. And even then, only for a few months until you get

your booster.

Remember those long car lines and your Branch Covidian Facebook friends posting about how they couldn’t wait

until their age group was called, then later posting disturbing pictures of their ‘Fauci ouchie’ band-aids right beside their

even more disturbing Dr. Fauci bobblehead dolls? In a period of weeks, we saw a medical intervention go from being in

peak demand to President Puddinhead’s patience with a third of the population “wearing thin.” The carrot hasn’t worked,

so now they’re moving to the stick.

But why? Why does the entire population need to be jabbed with a shot that only protects them, especially one with

such a high side effect profile? It might be one thing if the vaccines actually did prevent contraction and especially

transmission of a virus deadly enough to warrant such measures. If these were sterile vaccines and the disease were more

dangerous than the relatively mild (for the vast majority) Covid-19, there *could* be a case for mandates. We could

Page 21: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

debate it and I might disagree, but there would at least be a case. For example, it would have been difficult to argue

against a vaccine mandate for smallpox, which killed 30% of those who contracted it and was stopped dead in its tracks

by the vax.

But this virus isn’t smallpox, and these vaccines aren’t the vaccines that eradicated that disease. Not. Even. Close.

These are, at best, therapeutics that prevent severe illness and death for a few months. At best. At worst, they are causing

antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) and actually making the pandemic worse over the long haul (If you’re unfamiliar

with ADE, listen to The Blaze host Steve Deace’s interview with Dr. Ryan Cole on 9/21/21. It’s pretty scary stuff and I

hope it ends up being wrong, but it’s certainly a theory that fits the data so far and is worth listening to.)

To add insult to injury, and a bit more injury just for fun, why do those who have already contracted the virus (the

naturally immune) need a vaccine for something their bodies have already fought, especially when it’s been proven that

side effects are WORSE for them? Why do young boys have to take it when it’s been proven that their risk of

hospitalization or death from vaccine-induced myocarditis is GREATER than their risk from Covid? Why are the

vaccines they are shoving down everyone’s throat, including the boosters, geared toward the original virus instead of

Delta? It’s all absolutely insane, yet these discredited clowns stubbornly continue down the same path like no better one is

available.

Unless the courts strike it down, soon every worker who works for a firm with more than 100 employees will have to

be vaccinated or undergo a weekly Covid test. Already, major events and conferences are requiring this (including one I’ll

be at next week). Healthcare workers who have put themselves at risk the entirety of the pandemic - many if not most of

whom are naturally immune - are literally being fired in the MIDDLE OF A LABOR CRISIS for refusing to take the jab

(in New York's case, forcing 'authorities' to consider calling in the National Guard to ensure some level of patient care).

But again, it’s all nonsense. Their actions and policies pretend that the vaccines are sterile and those who are

vaccinated can’t spread it, when anyone who can read the news knows none of that is true. If anything, it is the vaccinated

who should produce clear Covid tests, since masked symptoms mean they are much more likely to spread the virus

asymptomatically. Consider this comment from user “FloridaHSMom” on my previous column about governments’ futile

effort to fight the virus:

I have a friend whose grandmother was vaccinated. She got the virus but had no symptoms. Family went to visit her

in their home state of Tennessee. Her sons were with her for a special day visit, because they were from out of town. Then

they all went back home to their various states. They then gave it to their kids and grandkids. All in all, grandma infected

45 people or more. One vaccinated person infected 45 people.

How many more scenarios like this have played out all over the world over the past several months? If you think this

is an isolated incident, I’ve got some plane tickets to Australia to sell you.

Vaccine mandates and coercion need to end. They are unscientific on every level and don’t take into account

individual health profiles and risks, nor our God-given bodily autonomy. As much as our overlords would like to treat us

as such, humans aren’t robots, and we certainly aren’t mindless, obedient sheep. However, to these morons and the

ginormous hammer we as a society have gifted them with, EVERYTHING looks like a nail.

In the Arizona Audit, Words Matter Ted Noel Posted: Sep 27, 2021 12:01 A

Leftist news outlets are trumpeting the idea that “the Arizona Audit proves that Biden won!” And Just The News says

that “the final count of votes in the state's largest county of Maricopa showing President Joe Biden won Arizona was

accurate.” Certainly the argument is over. So why is President Trump still claiming that the election was rigged? He didn’t

become a billionaire by being stupid.

This is one of those times when we wish that people would have used more circumspect language. Both the Arizona

auditors and John Solomon committed a cardinal error that has allowed the Left to celebrate victory and ignore the fine

print. Both note that Biden got more “votes” than Trump. That conclusion is incorrect, because it ignores the rest of the

story.

A vote is an indication of preference cast by an eligible, registered voter. It must be cast in the time, place, and

manner prescribed by law. Anything else is not a vote. In Arizona, it is cast on paper ballots and read by machines. All the

“accurate count” showed was that the machines counted the pieces of paper accurately. That’s all machines do. They do

not count “ballots.”

The canvass did not answer the primary question, “How many of the pieces of paper were lawful ballots and how

many should have been excluded because they were not lawful votes?” All the “accurate count” proves is that there was

Page 22: -- Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971) Premier of the Soviet ...

no outside effort to tweak the numbers by changing them by some direct internet chicanery. But it does not prove that

Biden won. Or not. And that is the problem.

I won’t repeat all the details the auditors droned on through, but there are several key findings. Over 50,000 “ballots”

were unlawfully cast. There were dead people, new addresses without re-registration, double votes, envelopes with no

signatures, ballots received that were never sent out, and so on. Every one of those “ballots” were unlawful. They should

have been rejected to remove them from the canvass. Since the margin between Trump and Biden was around ten

thousand, this is far more than enough to cast doubt on the outcome. And then comes the drama.

Maricopa County did everything it could to block the audit. If it was confident that it had done its job correctly, then

one would expect that it would cooperate fully. Indeed, with the hand count matching the canvas, it seems that all should

be well. But then we find that hundreds of thousands of election files were deleted from Maricopa County’s computer

servers the day before the audit began. That smacks of guilty knowledge.

We also know that the servers allowed election data to be seen from the internet. Security was extremely lax, and even

though it appears no votes were changed, other issues arise. Legally required signature matching on absentee ballots

basically evaporated as the original tally went on. Was someone watching from outside, then advising local officials on

how to let unlawful ballots through to obtain the desired result?

At a bare minimum, the Arizona Presidential election was irretrievably tainted. The taint was large enough to make

determination of the actual winner impossible. That’s why I wrote before January 6 that VP Pence should send several

slates of electors back to their respective state legislatures for a final determination. Those states, by repeated violations of

their own state laws, did not hold elections. The processes they followed did not allow a tally of lawful votes.

The Arizona legislature should vote to decertify the electors for the 2020 election. This may have no legal effect, but

if it leads two or three other states to the same conclusion, we may have a Constitutional crisis, and there are no

guideposts for this trail. The Constitution simply did not foresee the compounding of raw power applied to prevent the

proper administration of a Presidential election. The Supreme Court may deny cert based on the passage of time beyond

the designated Electoral College date. Or it could decide to hear the case and ultimately find that Biden’s election is a

nullity ab initio. Or something in between. Who knows?

What we do know is that we simply cannot declare who won the Arizona election with any degree of certainty. Even

if that changes nothing else, it should give us a resolve to fix our elections so that they cannot be manipulated outside the

law.

Pieces of paper with marks on them are not ballots until it is determined that those marks were made by a lawful voter

in the time and manner prescribed by the legislature. Only after that bar is crossed for every ballot is it possible to have an

election. Biden did not win the Arizona election because there was no Arizona election. It is impossible to truthfully say

that he got more “votes” than Donald Trump. Nobody actually knows.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met on Monday with the US Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, also participated in the meeting.

Prime Minister Bennett at the beginning of the meeting, "Madam

Ambassador, I want to thank you for your great friendship. I also know

that you have a good friendship with Ambassador Erdan."

"The reorganization of the United States with the international institutions is a good opportunity to

bring about a balance of those institutions towards Israel. Many times we feel that these institutions are biased, and

sometimes are unfair. I think the new spirit between America and Israel can bear fruit and do good things together. I value

your friendship."

The Prime Minister addressed the issue of the missing IDF soldiers, Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin,

and Israeli civilians Avera Mengistu and Hisham a-Sayed, and asked the Ambassador to continue raising the issue in

various forums, as she has done since meeting with Leah Goldin, Hadar’s mother.

Prime Minister Bennett also thanked the Ambassador for her work on behalf of the State of Israel at the UN, and for

her unwavering US support for Israel, and invited her to visit Israel.
