On behalf of myself, dobr. Larysa, Pavlo and our entire family, please accept our heartfelt and prayerful wishes
for a blessed and Holy Nativity and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
I extend my gratitude to all who worked selflessly for the benefit of the Gospel as it is made manifest in our
parish family and outside the doors. The Lord calls all to labor in His vineyard according to the talents with
which He has gifted us and the conscience that functions in our hearts.
During the past year we have clothed the needy, fed the hungry, visited the sick and shut-ins, cared for
widows and orphans. We have kept the House of the Lord in good order.
In this coming 2016 New Year may our Lord continue to bless us all with His many Mercies.

КАМПАНІЮ ЗБІРКИ ФОНДІВ
Ми вдячні Вам, нашим парафіянам і прихильникам за вашу постійну підтримку в часи, коли виникає
потреба в межах Церковної парафії. За останні кілька років Ваша підтримка надали фінансові ресурси,
які дозволили нам відновити наші системи опалення і кондиціонування, а також ремонт і відновлення
церквовного даху. Перед нами в цей час існують нові потреби, які мусимо лагодити. Конечно потрібно
змінити сходи при вході до церкви. Ми є в контакті з контракторами в цій справі і чекаємо на їх
кошториси. Ми передбачаємо, що видатки на цей проект будуть о коло $400,000. Крім того, потрібно відновити фарбу в деяких місцях в Церкві з огляду на витік через дах поки ми його відновили. Також
потрібно замінити вікна в церкві і в шкільному будинку.
Отож, ми оголошуємо КАМПАНІЮ ЗБІРКИ ФОНДІВ для покриття витрат по відношенню вищезгаданих
ситуацій.
Ваша постійна підтримка є конечна і важлива і дозволить нам полагодити вижчезгадані конечні потреби
нашої церкви, даючи нам можливість затримати наш Церковний комплех безпечним, доступним і в
стані необхідних стандартів.

On behalf of the Parish Council I extend sincere best wishes to our parishioners and supporters on the
occasion of Christ’s Nativity, the New Year and the Feast of Jordon. May your homes be filled with peace and
harmony, may good health and joy always be with you, and your hopes and dreams fulfilled.
CANDLE HOLDER
We have changed the process for purchasing candles as you enter the Church. There will no longer be an
attendant at the candle stand, instead you are invited to purchase candles on the honour system. Suggested
prices are posted on the candle stand – no change will be available.
FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
We are most grateful to you, our parishioners and supporters for your constant support in times when a need
arises within our Parish complex. In the past few years your dedication and support have provided financial
resources that have allowed us to renew our heating and air-conditioning systems, as well as repair and
recover the Church roof. We are now faced with some new challenges that need to be dealt with. The
outside entrance stairs to the Church need to be replaced. We have been in touch with contractors in this
respect and are waiting for their estimates. We anticipate an expense in the area of $400,000 for this project.
As well, the peeling of the paint in the Church resulting from the leaking roof needs to be dealt with. Added to
this, the windows in the both the Church and the School building need to be replaced.
We are therefore announcing a FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN to cover the expenses relative to the above-
mentioned situations.
Your continued support is vital, and will allow us to deal with maintaining our Church facilities so that they can
continue to be safe, accessible and up to required standards.

Orthodox Christians, our non-Orthodox guests are welcome to join us in venerating the Cross and receiving
blessed bread at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy.

On behalf of the, Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada – Lesia Ukrainka Branch I would like to greet all of you
on the occasion of the celebration of the Nativity of Christ.
As we celebrate the Nativity of Christ this year, let us keep in mind the less fortunate in the world, love one
another, and serve others kindly.
The U.W.A.C. members’ main goal is to support and perform all deeds and acts that contribute to the growth of the
Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, we encourage all of our members to practice and live by Christian principals.
You see our members giving of themselves in all kinds of ways around our parish. Whether it is our Myrhh-Bearers
and their generous acts of service in visiting our shut-ins, the women who support the church financially through
their various fundraising abilities, our members are sistrytsi – help by looking after the embroidery, handing out
candles, ordering flowers, and the list goes on.
In closing I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Parish Council President, Orysia Sushko along with all of
the members of the Parish Council, and their subcommittees for their support throughout the year. May the spirit
of this season guide all of you in the stewardship of His Holy Church.
On behalf of all of our members I extend to you and your families our sincere wishes for a joyous celebration of our

parish for the first time. Please make an effort to come to the Thanksgiving Moleben, meet Bishop Andrij while enjoying some finger food and fellowship during this event.
5. January 17th – Extra ordinary parish membership meeting to discuss Golden Gate Park. Please bring your comments and suggestions. Please remember that only paid up members are allowed to vote if decisions have to be made.
6. January 18th – Reminder once again about the Great Blessing of Water and our annual Jordan Supper. Please come and join our membership for this very special event.

FAMILY WORSHIP/YOUTH SUNDAY - The first Sunday of each month has been designated Youth Sunday
in our Parish. During the service, our Children will participate in various parts of the services. Parents and
grandparents are encouraged to remind their children about Youth Sunday. Come find joy and reason to celebrate
the Divine Liturgy with us. See you all on Jan. 10th

Sunday Coffee Hour – is always greatly appreciated by the members of our parish. We thank the team of ladies
who are always in the kitchen every Sunday preparing the coffee and goodies for the rest of us. We could always
use more volunteers. If you could spare some time please contact Eroslava Evanetz at
[email protected] who would love to add your name to her list of helpers. We always welcome new volunteers. We hate to see our fellowship hour cancelled due to lack of help. Our parish members truly enjoy this
time in catching up.

Baptisms: Parents must arrange with father to make arrangements. God-parents must be practicing Orthodox Christians. Baptising a child in the Orthodox Church presupposes that the child will be raised as an Orthodox Christian.
Хрещення: Батьки мусять зустрінутеся з отцем, щоб полагодити Хрещення. Куми мусять бути правосласними християними. Батьки зобовязані виховувати своїх дітей з поученням православної церкви.
Weddings: Couples must arrange a personal meeting with the pries to make arrangements. If one of the couple is not Orthodox, certain conditions may apply.
A Collection Bin for Food Bank - is downstairs in the auditorium. We collect regularly. Once the bins are filled Mission Services comes and picks up your food items. God bless your generosity.
