Some black and white prints are made direct from the original negatives using traditional darkroom techniques (gelatin silver prints). The other prints are digital-made using high quality processes and papers (Digigraphie® and Lambda® ) Gelatin silver prints Gelatin silver prints are black and white prints made directly from negatives. They are papers coated with a layer of gelatin which contains light sensitive silver salts. They were developed in the 1870'. Digigraphie® Digigraphie describes a print created by an 8-colour Epson Stylus Pro professional printer with Ultrachrome™ and Ultrachrome™ K3 inks, on certified paper. Each print is authenticated with a number and signature and embossed and accompanied by a certificate. Lambda® Lambda is the name used by Durst for a series of digital printers using LEDs to print directly onto Silver Halide Photographic paper.
