No Lubrication Circuit Required These pumps provide reliable, lower-cost operation on deepwater, unmanned platforms around the world.

Only the system fluid is required for internal lubrication in this single-fluid pump design. This design eliminates the cost of a secondary lubrication circuit and regular maintenance.

Installation is simplified, requiring less space with reduced labor, fewer components and lower piping cost.

Pressures to 15000 psi (1040 bar)The checkball pump design, with individual piston check valves, provides better wear and higher volumetric efficiency, especially with low-lubricity fluids.

A rugged wobble plate keyed to the drive shaft and a stationary piston barrel handle higher loads.

A rotating bearing plate reduces internal loading for lower starting torque and provides longer pump life.

PF4300 SERIES

Dimensions are shown in inches (millimeters in parentheses) and are nominal. The drawing shows a standard keyed shaft. Contact the sales department for port and shaft options, and for complete installation and operating recommendations.

These fixed displacement checkball pumps are compatible with a variety of water-based fluids. High pressure capability makes them ideal for offshore wellhead control systems and subsea applications.

Pump SelectionThe table shows specifications for standard pressure models, and for high-pressure “H” option models for use at pressures higher than 8000 psi (560 bar). The “H” option models are available with coned and threaded (Autoclave or Butech) or B.S.P. (British Standard Pipe) outlet ports.

Ordering requires a complete model code specifying shaft and outlet port options.

Some models are available with the Split-Flow® option, to supply multiple flows from one pump. Contact the Sales Department for details.

InstallationMounting is S.A.E. D 4-bolt pattern with 0.25 inch (6,4 mm) pilot engagement.

Vertical shaft mounting is possible with a line connected to the bleed port in the pump housing. Contact the sales department for instructions.

Weight is 116 lb (53 kg).

No Cross-Fluid ContaminationWithout a secondary oil circuit, cross-fluid system contamination is avoided. Environmental concerns are reduced by removing the need for pump lubrication oil on the platform.

Degradation of water glycol fluid is prevented because glycol and oil cannot combine in the pump to form a potentially damaging mixture since no lubrication oil is present.

Smaller, Lighter and Lower CostThe compact checkball pump design provides a high horsepower-to-weight ratio. The result is long-life performance, with less weight, size and cost than a triplex or plunger pump design.

Split-Flow® models simplify multiple function circuits and lower costs, using only one pump with fewer components and less piping.

Vertical In-Reservoir MountingCheckball pumps can be installed inside a water glycol reservoir, not easily done with other pump designs requiring separate lubrication circuits.

Oil-free checkball pumps assure no fluid cross-contamination.

Vertical mount bleed ports in the pump housing simplify air removal during installation, setting the pump up for reliable performance.
