IN MEMORY OF

ROBERT WARREN BARNES Sr. May 6, 1923 - September 15, 2016

Our dear friend, R. Warren Barnes, passed from this earth on September 15

surrounded by family. He was born on May 6, 1923 to John C. and Bertha

Barnes. His life was a long and remarkable one.

Warren married Joyce Rider in 1975. In 1978, while on vacation with their

friends Wayne and Shirley Thornton, they discovered Hotel Cantamar in the

sleepy coastal town of Mazatlán, Mexico. The Barnes and the Thorntons

purchased the hotel and over the years developed it into The Inn at Mazatlán Resort. Many of Warren and Joyce's friends became early

timeshare owners at The Inn, greatly contributing to the Inn's early success.

Together the Barnes and Thorntons were pioneers in developing the time

share concept in Mexico, and in the U.S.

Warren was much more than a successful businessman. He was an

advocate for the less fortunate throughout his life. His kindness and

compassion set an example for everyone he touched in his life. We will miss

him dearly.

PLEASE REMEMBER…

ALWAYS Check your timeshare calendar to verify your

week prior to making airline reservations. If you do not

have a copy of the timeshare Calendar of The Inn, we

will be happy to mail a copy to you, or you can view it

online under Members section of our website.

RESERVATIONS for floating weeks may be made no

earlier than 10 months in advance. Maintenance fees for

the year being reserved must be paid at the time of making reservation and your account must be in good

standing. PLEASE keep in mind that room numbers are

assigned only at the time of check-in.

IF A GUEST or renter will be using your unit, please send us

a letter or email including the guest’s name and e-mail.

A reservation will be made under your guest’s name and

a confirmation letter will be mailed directly to the guest,

which must then be presented at check-in. This is

required.

ALSO if you have made an RCI exchange and are

sending a guest in your place, you MUST obtain an official Guest Certificate from RCI. The front desk is now

requiring that the name on the reservation is the same on

the RCI confirmation letter.

NO ON-SITE SOLICITING. We have continued to have

problems with a few guests or owners posting handbills or

passing out flyers to other guests, advertising items or

services for sale. This activity is STRICTLY PROHIBITED on

the grounds and throughout the resort. The Inn will not

condone any business conducted on its property that interferes with or detracts from its own businesses. Please

be mindful of this during your visit.

PREPAID MAINTENANCE Is Only transferable when it is an

immediate family member. If you decide to sell or

transfer your unit at The INN remember this benefit is not

transferable.

KEEP IN MIND! When making vacation plans, common

area fees for the year being booked must be paid at the

time of making reservation or internal exchange.

Common area fees for the year being banked must be

also paid before an RCI space bank deposit or an internal bank can be approved.

As you already know we have been working on an ongoing effort to give you the best service which is the reason Papagayo Restaurant had renovations inside and out that will be reflected the next time you sit to enjoy your Sunday Brunch with us.

Also the front side of the hotel has been renewed. While the new project for the new tower is being developed, we are working a new design for the front of the hotel, you will be surprised with the result.

A new model for the up coming tower is being constructed in the garden area. Soon you will be able to take a glance of what The INN has prepared to offer you!

We are proud to introduce you to our new addition to The INN – our 77 foot yacht, The Pegasus. This is part of our new points program. Check with our Vacation

Ownership Department to find out how you can enjoy a day on this beautiful yacht.

Have you ever considered taking a ride on a bicycle through Mazatlan’s famous beach walk? Well now is

your chance! We have brand new bicycles ready to take you all around town. Check with our Concierge for the rates and choose the best option for you and your party.
